Hmmmm, now what do we want to happen before our game kicks off? Either the Jets know they are playing us for a playoff spot for themselves OR they are playing us merely to knock US out of the playoffs. Personally, I think I'd rather play a team who's trying to win for a playoff spot for themselves, especially a team led by the Brett Favre of recent. He will try too hard, outthink himself and make errant throws if he knows there is pressure to win. Also, I HATE playing a team that has nothing to lose by going for it on 4th and 5's, faking punts, onside kicks, etc..We saw a little taste of that last week with the Chiefs and it scared me. Looks like weather is 50% chance of rain with a highof 55 and low of 31. I'll guess that it will be around 45-50 degrees by our 4:15 kickoff (tropical weather compared to last week!) I like our running game better than the Jets by far however I still would hate to see a wet, sloppy field. Any thoughts?

I kind of hope it rains. It will hurt Favre's deep ball (which already sucks), and it will limit Leon Washington's cutting and speed.

I tend to think that if the jets are NOT in the playoffs they will be playing to put the team IN the playoffs that had just knocked them OUT of the playoffs.

Not to sure how motivated I would be to put in a divisional rival who just hours ago eliminated my team
:woot:

I think a Pats win helps us, by taking the edge off the Jets' motivation. Yes, they could still get in if Baltimore loses, but the Ravens are 12-point favorites.

Even so, I'd prefer a Bills upset, so the Fins and Jets can play for the division while the Pats watch Baltimore finish off their remaining hopes. I can live with the Jets going if they get there by beating Miami, but having them put New England in would be miserable.

The Jesters ARE NOT out of the playoffs just because the Pansies win. They will be playing to win no matter what because if the Ravens lose, then they get a wildcard spot no matter what. I think this has been discussed at nauseum here on this site.

Yes, clearly true, but that Baltimore game stands a good chance of getting decided early. There's a huge difference between entering a game knowing that it's "win and in," and watching the scoreboard to hope for a highly improbable upset.

Anything can happen, et cetera et cetera, but most people seem to expect the Ravens to crush the Jaguars. I'm sure that includes the Jets.

This is a tough one....

BUT if it's a close and physical game and we're still in the 4th quarter and the game has not yet been decided....I tend to think a team who isn't playing for anything won't continue to fight as hard rather than a team who still is playing for something.

I'm rooting for the Patriots and Ravens. Jets suck.

I just hope our players are only worry about winning our game regarless of anything else...it'd be our 1st playoffs in 8 years.....this is our chance and not need to think about any other game.

Ozzy rules!!
