Jets defense made Ryan look like Marino

I live in Jets country - milliner been getting picked on all year. Really looks like a bust so far.

Considering the lying jerk who coached him in college it's understandable that milliner is a bust.

WHICH BRINGS ME TO... was anyone else as OVERJOYED as I was watching satan slink off that field Saturday night? I believe the hearts of Dolphin fans everywhere were gladdened by Auburn's big takedown of the self-proclaimed greatest team ever LOL.

Pfft ... Marino in this day and age against what we saw yesterday might have thrown for 600 yards.

do you guys really think he had a good game? fantasy football has destroyed fans.

If we're being honest, he was very good in the second half but below average in the first half. Overall, he was above average to good.

poor in the first half, ok in the 2nd half w/ no pressure w/ the game out of hand.

He was average overall...If he had hit those long throws the game would have been a blowout and I'd feel better about RT's game.

but if my aunt had nuts she'd be my uncle.

Marino record book should have been sealed after the league designed rules to promote pass happy offenses.

we could say the same about the QBs before Dan, rules change and records are broken. it doesn't take away from the greatness of Marino.

they were only up by 6 entering the 2nd half. also, once we lead by a few scores, if tannehill struggles to continue a drive and score more points he will get bashed for losing a lead. he deserves credit for maintaining control of the game, and finishing, especially in NY. instead you simply discredit any performance unless the game is on the line.

I will give him credit for not making mistakes that led to Tos in the 2nd half, that would have been the only way we could have stayed in it.

Woah. Easy now. Remember, it's a much easier era to be throwing the ball than when Dan played. Today, 400 yards in a game is the old 300. Not crapping on RT's accomplishment but passing yardage is not a great stat IMO.

Woah, you're missing the point completely. You aren't crapping on RT accomplishments because you turned this into a Marino comparison. This is not a Marino comparison,it's stating no QB since has done it for the fins.We have had a dozen or so QB's since Dan and the receiver rules were in place in 1996 and Dan did enjoy 4 years of the rule change.

So Marino being here --->Marino 1996,1997,1998,1999 [-----------------------------All post Marino QB's------------------------------------]Tannehill 2013

Every post Marino QB enjoyed the rule change and Passing yards is a great stat IMO.

1996 NFL rule change.
The five-yard contact rule will be enforced more stringently.
Hits with the helmet or to the head by the defender will be flagged as personal fouls and subject to fines. This is being done to protect the offense, particularly the quarterback.

Thank you very much for saying - and I would actually go further.

It's closer to 450 today is closer to a Marino 300 yard day.

Its a first down for touching a receiver after 5 yards. So it might even be 500 yards.

And you cannot touch a QB - if you do its 15 yards and a first down.

Much of what was a no call (which she be the same today) is called defensive pass interference.

What about Lester Hayes?
