Jets-Dolphins Game 8:15 PM EST Start?

but it will be the first game that i will be able to see on my tv this yr. bc eventhough we are 4 hrs from KC we get the pit ten game next week

That's a very entertaining article:

"Absolutely nothing would be as painful as the nightmare scenario the Jets are staring at in two weeks if they lose at home to Miami in a winner-take-all final game of the regular season: Chad Pennington beating Brett Favre, and the Dolphins winning the AFC East, knocking the Jets out of the playoffs.

"I know there is a lot of competition, but that would qualify as the lowest moment in franchise history."

Heh...

As exciting as a primetime game sounds . . . I rather 1 p.m. it to be honest with you.

Our best bet to avoid this game looks to be a Denver loss and a San Diego win next week. San diego is @ Tampa . . . ugh . . . and Denver is home against Buffalo . . . it is starting to look inevitable that the Game of the Year will be at 8:15 on Sunday Night. Hope Bmore loses next week and in a 1 p.m. game that Sunday and I hope the bills spring the upset on the Pats. . . make the game meaningless as far as playoffs is concerned. Funny thing is if that happened . . . we would play the Jets AGAIN the next week lmao in the playoffs.

Chad Pennington is SO ready to go back to the Meadowlands!

Naah, I want prime time. If we win, I want the Jets' humiliation to be nationally televised.

Plus, if the Jets lose next week and the Pats win their next two, then the Jets would already be eliminated (for the division at least) before the game starts. If our game and the Pats-Bills game both start at 1pm, that can't happen.

The last night game I remember between the Jets and Dolphins was the Miracle in the Meadowlands in which we were beating the Jets around 30-7 late in the third quarter....I left the sportsbar and drove home and I listened to the rest of the game on the radio and the Jets came back and beat us. I think Testeverde was the QB?? I think it was around the year 2000. I have never been as pissed off in my life as I was that night. I still am scarred by it. That's why we have to get our revenge.

I remember the "miracle"

I was pretty young when it happened, so naturally I was in bed. I turned my radio on, and fell asleep at halftime or shortly into the third quarter thinking that the Dolphins had sealed the victory.

Shock is all I felt when I found out they had lost the next morning.

While very much scarred from that game and that moment. This year has given me so much confidence when watching them play.

Watching the game today, I was nervous, but very confident that the defense could hold.

The same goes for the San Diego game, Oakland, St. Louis, Seattle.

There have been so many close games this year that either the Offense has pulled together a game winning drive, or the defense has held. Sometimes both. I am just much more confident than I have been in the past.

The season-ending loss to the Pats that kept us out of the playoffs was worse. For me it was, anyway.

I think a Meltdown at the Meadowlands, perhaps as Favre's final game, would be exquisite.

Yeah I remember that one too...and I remember a few others, the '74 playoff loss to the Raiders when Stabler threw a crappy rainbow pass that was caught in the end zone, the '82 OT loss to the Chargers, Dan's SB loss to San Fran, and Dan's last game loss to the Jags 61-7, and a few other bad ones. It would be so nice if we could be on the other end and go from Worst to First.

throw in the blowout losses to denver and oakland in the playoffs

I think that the Division game will probably be a game that will shock not only Dolphins fans but Jets fans as well. It will be one of those games that will be won in the final seconds. In the other hand, what if the game is a total blow out by either the Jets or Miami?

Ah yes, the infafous "hitting an unprepared wide receiver" call. The refs were pulling penalties out of the same place the Supreme Court pulls all of the new "constitutional rights" they discover.

SUNDAY NIGHT PRIMETIME BABY !!

i believe that's why we have #55 joey porter fellas. This guy continues to show up game after game, any other defensive player you want on your team with the season on the line. And umm oh yeah, we have #10 this year, never have a seen a more poised, more fierce leader besides the man around here.

I'm still worried about the Chiefs to be honest but December 28th is gonna be huge in my house.
