Don't tell me not to get ahead of myself here, I'm going to do it anyway.

Please tell me if this analysis is wrong.

IF:
- NE drops 1 of the next two games
- Jets lose to the Bills & Seahawks
- We win against KC & 49rs

However unlikely, though I don't think impossible, if all 3 of those thigns happen, we would go into the week 17 Jets game with the division clinched. Is that right?

While I'm not saying this will happen, I think the Jets will win both those games, it not so crazy to think the Bills can squeeze one out and after playing us and the Pats to the bitter end, the Seahawks have proved capabale, they just need to close out 1 game.

As much as I'd love to see Penny punch the Jets in the mouth on the last day of the season, I'd love to have it wrapped up before then.

The Jets arent going to lose to the Bills in NY. You are talking about that Bills team we played today.....right?

So ok. The Phins vs. Jets will be for the division title.

And the Jets can't lose to a 49rs team?

The Jets have taken the identity of Brett Favre. They are dangerous. They are capable. They choke. They eventually get burned and go home.

They are like the guy at the beginning of a small stakes poker tournament that goes all in every hand. Sure he wins small pots, maybe 1 or 2 big ones, but he will seldom make the money.

The Jets team is capable of beating everyone or losing to anyone. I only give them a 60-40 chance of beating the Bills...

well the thing is if new england drops one of the next 2 games and we win both going into week 17, we would be 10-5 and theyd be 9-6. but that game would still matter to us bc if they beat buff theyd be 4-2 in div, and if we lost to the jets, we would be 3-3 so theyd get the tiebreaker.

Just think of it that we have to win every game! No excuses in these next 3 weeks.

And that puts the pipe dream away.

To get in the playoffs, we must win the division. We MUST beat the Jets on the last week of the season. We most likely need to win the next two games as well. If the Pats drop another game, then we can drop one of the next two. But, we still MUST beat the Jets to get in.

Not only was that an east coast team traveling out west, but the 9ers are better than the Bills. In fact, they just beat the Bills in Buffalo.

ahhh thank you.

So for my scenario to make sense, "NE loss" would be "NE loss to Bills".

That makes it even more improbable.
