Jets in more trouble

Our QB situation is not good, how can you expect it to be when yuo lose your top 2 QBs? But we have been competitive every week no matter who the QB(except Week 1) was and we did beat TB w/ Vinny while you guys were blown out w/ your starter.

Yeah, you guys were really lighting up M&T Bank Stadium when Bollinger was under center.

Plus you won that TB game because of Curtis Martin, not Vinny. :D

Honestly, though, I think San Fran is in the worst QB Controversy.

Tim Rattay to TB, Alex Smith injured...Ken Dorsey :shakeno:

All I see are excuses

excuses? YOU'RE talking to ME about excuses? now that's funny...

sorry, but i stopped reading at the point where you said Fiedler "led" Miami to six wins down the stretch in 2000... you've got to be kidding... if the guy doesn't bumble his way through those games, and can perhaps hit a deep out on a rope without a fluttering arc, there's no need for it to be close... it's all cumulative, no matter how valiant he looks late in half the games ... it's the other 6-7 games a year when he threw an unecessary girl-like interception or fumbled in the pocket while ducking that made him a below average quarterback...

the bottom line is, the only reason you're going on and on, breaking wind about a guy like Jay Fiedler, is because he's now a Jet, and Jets can do no wrong...

but really, why am i wasting time debating this with you?... you'll see it soon enough when Fiedler returns... enjoy....

but then, when you come here to thrill us with your viewpoint, i'm sure Jets failures will be veiled behind a bad call by the ref, or some obscure parallel from 15 years ago that will explain away all the hurt... not the fact that the Jets might just be vastly overrated... just as Week 1 showed us before all your tough boo hoo injuries...

yeah... we're overrated and choke when we lose... you guys are "tough and rescilliant" when you lose.... i see now... thanks...

Bal was ugly for both side but if we make 1 play(either Hobson sxcores on the fum return or we score 1st and G at the 1) we probably win that game. Vinny played evry well against TB, he gace us the threat of a passing game back. The #s weren't grea but he set us up to score.

uh Yeah! When you blame losing 38-3 on playing on a short week(which was wrong as you had a full week) I take that as as excuse.

the bottom line is, the only reason you're going on and on, breaking wind about a guy like Jay Fiedler, is because he's now a Jet, and Jets can do no wrong...

Absolutely not true, I argued this point w/ dolphin fans for years. They were all just spoiled w/ Dan and didn't realize how good they had it w/ Jay. Jay was never going to be a great #s guy but he made plays and was under C for alot of wins. It wasn't always his fautl that the D wore out late in years and embarrassed themselves and gave the O no shot to win in the playoffs.

but then, when you come here to thrill us with your viewpoint, i'm sure Jets failures will be veiled behind a bad call by the ref, or some obscure parallel from 15 years ago that will explain away all the hurt... not the fact that the Jets might just be vastly overrated... just as Week 1 showed us before all your tough boo hoo injuries...

It wasn't before our injuries, Our QB was not halthy yet and even w/ that unhealthy QB we dispatcheed you guys fairly easily the next week.

yeah... we're overrated and choke when we lose... you guys are "tough and rescilliant" when you lose.... i see now... thanks...

The last time you exited the playoffs w/ some dignity was probably about 1990. Your late '90s teams were touted as SB contenders every year and never eevn made a title game and got humiliated out of the playoffs year after year. Let me know the last time we were humiliated out of the playoffs like you guys were annually.

like i said... in your eyes, the jets are just better at everything... and you come on here to let us all know about it... not in a playful, smacktalk way, but in an obnoxious, "i-know-everything" kind of way...

if you think "we had it so good" with a guy like Jay Fiedler, your opinion no longer matters on this message board... please relieve us of your YOU-ness and go away...

It's not my fault you think the QB position is all about #s, let me guess you think Brady is average and Culpepper is a great QB?

actually, genius, i think Brady is the best quarterback in the NFL since Joe Montana... and Culpepper can't read a defense consistently and is vastly overrated..... K?

suggesting i assess a guy like Jay Fiedler based on numbers is missing the mark badly... and you make yourself look foolish by stating it as fact for me...

He has no arm, goes brain dead more often than not in the clutch, and wilts under pressure... All glass-half-full people seem to remember are the half dozen games like the Raider win at home... People like you seem to forget games like the Texans loss to open '03, the Bucs' loss in '02, and the Patriots loss at the end of '02... Believe me, he's blown more games than he saved, especially considering the talent around him at the time...

I never said the guy was great just he was under appreciated by dilphin fans b/c you were spoiled by Marino. He was a good enough QB to help you win alot of games, sure he blew a few but every QB does but do me a favor and check the win % w/ Jay as starter and w/ jay out then tell me he didn't make a difference.

Especially considering the talent around him at the time

What are you smoking? he had some of the worst talent around him in the game in 2000 and 2001, in '02 he got Ricky and Ricky was great that year but he was hurt a good portion of that year and before he was hurt you were rolling at 5-1 and jay was a major reason why. he has never had a big time receiver to throw to, in '03 Mcmike stepped up and was good as well as Chambers but Ricky took a big step back and Jay was hurt again. Had jay not been hurt in '02 & '03 you'd have 2 more playoff appearances so to just dismiss the guy as horrible is unfair.

ummmm... what?!!! 2000 was Wannstedt's best team of the five years... get a clue...

Best but not most talented. That team was supposed to be a 5-6-7 win team according to the "experts", you lost JJ & dan and had a career backup as your starter. You had no offensive talent for jay. yeah Smith had over 1,000 yds but on 3.7 YPC, your best WR was gadsden- enough said. Wanny did a great job w/ that team, coming back from the jax humiliation, the Dan retirement, the JJ saga and having such little offensive talent.

this guy is like that little brat up the street who always needs to get in the last word, even if he has to make up stuff.... let's egg his house...

So let me get this straight, you can criticize the Jets and so can everyone else but when I respond it's wrong?

it's just the way you present things... so drastically overconfident, yet filled with flawed logic, slanted bias and absolutes, based on one or two examples of nothingness... making a point for the Jets, but disputing the same parrallel for the Dolphins... then you follow it up with that laughing icon...

i mean, someone on here could mention a play they saw in a Div. III game in Utica, and you'd chime in with: "Yeah, like that Dolphins debacle in 1995? You guys looked great that day." Huh?

anyhoo... otherwise, you're terrific...
