Jets MRI's are in...and they ain't pretty

According to NFL Network's Adam Schefter on tonight's "NFL Total Access" show:

Chad Pennington has a torn rotator cuff. He is off to visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, AL tomorrow, and if he confirms the preliminary diagnosis, Pennington is done for the year.

Jay Fiedler has a torn labrum in his shoulder. He is also getting a second opinion but is expected to miss at least six weeks.

The Jets are holding off until tomorrow on a formal announcement of these findings until the second opinions are issued.

Anyone know that much about rotator cuff injuries? I'm just wondering how much arm strength Pennington would get back now that he's had it happen twice. Seems unlikely that he'd ever get it 100% back and he wasn't that strong of an arm to begin with.
