I'm curious so can anyone explain the Jets and Patriots in the draft and FA? We know the Jets gave away draft picks to win now, do the Patriots have many draft picks? I thought they did something similar.

And whats with Free Agency this year? Are the Jets now limited because they are in the 2nd round? What are the limitations?

The Jets gave away a 3rd and 5th for Edwards, all the picks for Sanchez were in 2009. The Pats are loaded with picks! Free Agency for both of them will be restricted if there is no CPA!

So teams in the AFC/NFC Championship games Can't sign any FA's unless they lose a FA of their own. Teams in the 2nd round can only spend a certain amount on FA's.

I have not been able to find any information on the restrictions other then if you make the playoffs you can only replace a free agent you lose. I have found nothing to support the farther you advance in the playoffs the more restrictions you have.

For what it is worth you can bet Jerry Jones will change his stance on no CBA now that the Cowboys are in and advancing and he has a lot of pull!

Pats didn't make the final 8, so i think they can do what they want in FA. Jets can only sign their own, or, if they lose anyone to fa, can sign a similar value fa.

The jets can only sign 1 Fa WORTH 4.97 million or something like that
Pats did not make the final 8 so no restriction

Pats also have 17 FA so many probowl players hiting FA
