Jets Provide Blueprint for Dolphin's Resurgence.

The ONLY blueprint we need from the Jets to do well this season, is to play the teams they played at the last 5 weeks of last season. If we had a schedule as easy as that we would easily go 5-0

Are they both with the Herald?

The real reason the JETS improved last year was the return of Pennington ... and the loss of Herman Edwards. Yes, the line helped, but Pennington is a solid QB - and they were lost without him. Edwards was an example of getting better by subtraction.

You will see just how much better the JETS are this year .... and I will submit, that they won't be much improved from last year, even with the 'great Mangini' at the helm.

Another huge reason was that 5 game remaining schedule. I believe this was the biggest reason for their turnaround

I don't know about Mangini, but certainly the return of Penney is a major factor. Every year that Penney's played 12-13 games or more for the Jets, they've made the play-offs -- 2002, 2004, 2006. He doesn't have a great arm and he doesn't put up great stats, but he manages to win games -- and that's what really matters. Ws.

Trent is simply not in Pennington's class. Maybe he was at one time, but my suspicion is that he's more like Vinnie T than Chad P now, which is why KC kept Huard and dealt Green.

This is a hilarious statement. Trent has been an elite QB every year he has been in KC minus last year and that was due to injury. It is far to early to make judgements regarding who is in whos class but going from what we know removing last year Chad is not in TRENTS class or even close to it for that matter. Last year was the ONLY season Chad has fully completed during his entire career. Last season was the FIRST TG did not complete as a starter minus 1998 which is still only missed 1 game...To say Trent is not in Chads class is extremely laughable...I think you meant to say that Chad is not in Trents class...Give some respect where it is due

Spare me the nonsense. Vinnie T has always been a physically gifted, but a cerebrally challenged QB.
Pennington is a good QB, not great and to say that Green isn't even in his class is just plain ignorant.
TG has been one of the most under rated QB's the last 5 yrs. At his best he is hands down a better QB than Pennington ever was or will be.
I've have always felt that way about TG when he played for KC, way before he was ever a thought for the Phins (lest you try an accuse me of homerism)

These two comments have nothing to do with each other, are you crazy?

Trent green is coming off of a bad season, switching teams and whatnot, got into the mini-camps late, and to this point he's actually shown quite a bit of goodness in camps, but of course he is gonna have his troubles.. also Greg bedard hasn't written one positive thing hardly about camp and his articles seem to be 10000x more negative than what everyone else reports out of camp so take it for what its worth.

You could argue that Pennington is a better player now, but his health isn't any more of a guarantee than Green and he does not have the same consistent body of work that Trent Green has from KC up until last year. To say Green is not in the same class, however, is ridiculous, regardless of who ends up having a better season.

Thats an understatement...I am definately much dumber now just from reading that stupid quote
