Jets schedule riles Jewish fans

some one needs to notify those people that the world does not revolve around them.

athletes travel AND play on holidays. if their holiday prevents them from WATCHING a game... sucks for them. there are over 4 billion other people in the world. they are not special.
 
How long have the Jets and Giants been playing in NY?
If this was ever a consideration before now it would be well documented and the schedule would be a no brainer to make up before hand so those holidays and football don't conflict.
Why wait till the schedule is out before squaking.

I know the Jets request it every year or at least they used to when Gutman was running things. The league knows.

It's a business first. Why would they want to cut out a sizable part of the market when a simple change in time (not day) will open up the possible attendance by attracting "those" people? There's approximately 2 million Jews in New York City. Surely some of them are jest fans...the poor *******s. :lol:

As for the athletes, a practicing Jewish athlete would not play after sundown on the eve of Yom Kippur, let alone the day of.
 
Glad to see they fixed things. Just because I hate the jets as a team doesn't mean we can't have a little bit of understanding for the situation they were in. Now that the schedule is straight, I can hate them again with a clear conscience.

They're the only ones outside of the Giants in a city with a Jewish population larger than Jerusalem. Simple business demographics.
 
The Jets are just trying to make a few waves to remind New Yorkers that there is actually another team that belongs to the city.
