With a rookie QB, and a team that is going to run a heck of a lot, I don't think it's a wise idea to fully depend on a rookie runner like Greene and a scat back like Leon.

Then again, it's the stupid Jests.

The National Football Post reports that the Jets are "gauging interest" in Thomas Jones and have placed a call to an NFC West club.
The team was probably Seattle, although St. Louis could use an upgrade at backup tailback. Jones is coming off his first career Pro Bowl berth and a 1,312-yard, 13-touchdown season, but has been upset with his contract and turns 31 in a week. He'd probably only cost a fourth- or fifth-round pick.

if they only want a 4th or a 5th i would take him IMO he is a better Back then Ricky Williams at this point

That was just a rumor, it was later said that the Jets aren't shopping Jones. The only reason why people thought this was because the Jets LOVE Shonn Greene, hes been impressing them a lot with his ability to run the football. And Leon Washington is just tearing it up like he normally does and will have a expanded role, I heard Leon is close to reaching a deal for an extension too.

Might want to get some of the draft picks they wasted with Sanchez back

We basically gave up 1 pick. We flip flopped 1st rounders and gave up a 2nd rd pick. it's not like we gave up 2 1st round picks for Ricky Williams:lol2: or 2nd round picks for AJ Feeley and Daunte Culpepper:lol2::lol2:

Ricky was proven at the time, I laugh at the other 2 players also...:(

who cares, in the end, it didn't pan out and we didn't get a championship.

But neither did your stinking team :buds:

You are right, so far in the zero seasons that Sanchez has played we have yet to win a Championship. I a just shocked the fans and media aren't up ina rms over this fact:lol:

Wasted draft picks? We gave up 1 pick and a 3 backup players to move up and take what our scouting department thinks can be a franchise QB.

Whether or not he will be is obviously to be determined, but to say the Jets wasted picks is ill informed at best.

If he ends up being a "franchise" qb, Dolphins fans will be hating the fact that we were able to move up so cheaply to get him.

neither are the fans and media up in arms over the fact that henne didn't win a superbowl yet, and jason taylor ripped off sanchez's ribs apart :chuckle:

I have to add, although I didn't like the Sanchez pick nor do I think he will perform as the Jets think.

They did get decent value moving up in that trade. The browns could have gotten next years 1st also, the browns messed up.

The only thing Jason Taylor is ripping off is one of those flaming outfits during his dance routines on dancing w/ the stars.

I hope it's not the same scouting department that evaluated Clemons.
