Jets agreed to terms with FB Tony Richardson on a one-year contract.

Richardson, 36, is hardly the pass catching or short yardage threat he once was, but can still deliver a blow. He was an All Pro selection as Adrian Peterson's lead blocker in 2007. His addition bodes well for Thomas Jones.

Yeah, last I heard the Bills signed Barnes.
Richardson is better than Barnes anyway. Just last season he was an all-pro and overall has been to 3 pro bowls. Another good addition for the Jets.

Why wouldnt they bring him back then? He couldnt cost that much.

The guy goes where the good OL's are, so maybe this is good luck for the Jets.

KC had the best run blocking line in football and he was the FB, then he goes to the Vikings, best run blocking line in football, now he goes to the jets.

Only problem there is that Dbrickashaw Ferguson is a weak run blocker. We will see what happens.

I'll check this one off as a good signing by the Jets.

Ahhhhhh, I didn't know. Still, doubt he makes the roster. His age and being a fullback, got to question his mileage.

Not true. Fullbacks tend to have long careers. They don't depend on things like speed so they have a longer NFL careers than running backs. Look at Lorenzo Neal. He's the best FB in the game and he's 38yrs old. Plus Richardson was just an all-pro last season. People should judge players by talent, not by age. Thats what the Pats do and it seems to work well for them.

lets just hope this signing turns out for them like the Fred Beasley and Cory Schlesinger (sp?) signings turned out for us.

I wonder if the jets will have enough $$ to sign there draft picks. They are spending alot on free agents....
