The Jets owe quarterback Mark Sanchez $8.25 million in 2013, whether he’s on the team or not.Suddenly, “or not” is becoming a viable option.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that, with the selection of quarterback Geno Smith, the Jets will now consider releasing Sanchez.
