Hey fellas.

Has anyone ever been out to London for the game? I plan on goin out there with a few friends this year, and just want some wisdom from the board. I noticed those tickets weren't available yet for pre-sale. Is there another place you buy them? are they more expensive? I'll be out in London for a week or so with a few days before and after the game....so, any tips on places to stay, eat, tailgate, or any good stories in general will be appreciated.

if appropriate mods can move this wherever if it doesn't belong in main forum....

I'll be there, seen Fins in what will be all 3 of their trips to Wembley - but then I do live in England. As for tickets, its a sell out already, so look into securing them on a safe second hand site before you take your plans any further. It was the first Wembley game to sell out this year of the 3 we have, lots of love for the Fins over here.

Might be more of a home game then in Miami. Too many Jets fans in Miami

I wont be there but I will be getting married that day. Thank god its an afternoon wedding so I will probably be able to watch it without too much guilt tripping. Her family are all jets fans too, it will make for great conversation throughout the day.

Wow, had no clue it was already sold out. Good to know for sure! Glad to hear we have some fans across the pond. Look forward to experiencing your country !!

Can we stop this crap eventually?

I'll be there. Again will have seen all three games. Just need to see the lads in Miami

I went last season against Oakland. One of the best trips I have ever taken.

Rented a loft from a couple living in London. You can find great spots to stay at reasonable prices on VRBO.com

Definitely purchase the London Pass. Very wise investment that will save you a great deal of money in one of the most expensive places on Earth.

Thank you J.

Exactly what I'm looking for. I keep hearing how expensive London is, and am happy to hear you enjoyed the trip so much....what are actual game-ticket prices like?

I really hope the dolphins win for your weddings sake! I can't imagine spending my wedding day getting bombarded by jets fans talking trash after my phins lose!

I've paid £370 for the three games this season, sitting in the club Wembley area (middle tier). You may be able to get tickets from the touts at the bottom of the stairs outside Wembley park tube. Just be careful where you do the exchange as its against the law.

No idea what that equates too in bucks and you will be able to get cheaper

I believe I paid $300 a pop for two club level tickets. $1300 a pop for airfare on British Airways out of Atlanta. Non-stop flight. Two meals which sucked.

Seriously, do not consider going if you're not getting the London Pass. It is an expensive pass. Most expensive pass I have ever purchased. But, it pays for itself with the free access to the tube. Ride all day and all night with that pass. Anywhere in the city. You definitely do not want to be driving over there.

Don't overspend for a hotel. I imagine if you're like me you'll be out sightseeing, etc. Get something in a decent neighborhood for about $1000 per week. The loft that I rented was on top of a grocery store which was convenient.

Or you can get somewhere on the outskirts of London, like a premier inn, maybe 50-80 quid a night and then get a travelcard (zones 1-6) and your tube free all day, that's a tenner Max for the ticket or get an oyster and use while you're across and then just keep it. Multitude of options. All depends what you want to pay. Earlier you book, cheaper it is
