Jets want McFadden SoOo...

it would suck to have to play rundmc twice a year though. Just my 2 cents...

i say we keep our pick... i think im a lone ranger with that one though, ive seen everyone and thier mama wanting 2 trade up.

They may want him, but I really don't see them trading to #1 to get him, like the article says a lot of teams dont want to give him top 5 money becuase of off the field issues. Not that #6 money is a lot less than #5 money but i cant see them moving to #1 for him.

I would love it if the Jets got DMac. He is going to be a huge bust ala Bush.

memo to anyone that thinks he is "so" fast... so is everyone ele in the NFL.

I'll trade our #1 for D'Brickashaw, their first rounder and second rounder, and maybe add Mangold.

Either accept the deal and put your franchise in hell for overpaying or just let McFadden drop to you, which has a great chance to happen, especially on a draft filled with great running backs like Kevin Smith who may be better than McFadden. :D

I don't think the Jets will trade up for him. They don't have the cap space or extra picks to give up. They trade 2 picks for Jenkins....

IMO, dmac and bush are 2 different types of backs. Bush is more of a scat back w/speed and explosiveness. Mcfadden is more of an every down back. I believe mcfadden will do well in the NFL but only time will tell.

Yes it would suck and the guy is certainly dangerous. However, i really thought it was kind of interesting the other day NFL broke down film of him, and the guy pointed out some things I personally have thought about myself in the past. The guy only weighs a tad over 200 lbs for one (i think 207) but he is also a little tall (6'2') i think.....his legs are kind of skinny ... the guy is certainly built for speed - but he seems to always want to bounce the ball outside. Also, I watched Arkansas the last two years and when he lines up at QB - that leaves one less defender for him, and they use a lot of misdirection - and had other weapons (Felix Jones - who had a MUCH higher YPC). It makes it easier for him to get to the edge. The guy does go down on first contact - his legs DO stop moving.

These are big concerns - while I do think he IS a football player - and there is certainly a place for this guy. He isn't the same kind of back as A Peterson, and I'm not so sure he has the same kind of effect. He isn't the power running game kind of back - I think he would best be used like Marshall Faulk was with the Rams - but I'm not so sure he is going to be that good with his hands (just would have to look at that and haven't).

I think It's possible the guy becomes a game changer, I think it's just as likely he ends up like Reggie Bush. From what I've seen of Mendenhall ,and Stewart I don't think there is any doubt they will be good. If I needed a back, in this case I'd rather pick one of the others at 15 then McFadden at 4,5,6..... Now if I already had a very good tailback say somebody like Atlanta for instance (if they didnt need QB) ... then McFadden would be the pick.
