jim harbaugh - fins better off?

It's actually a reflection of Ross's undermining of Sparano's power and authority, IMO.

How do you explain the awful ST's play for 2 yrs before it was exposed on MNF vs the Pats last season? Sparano's teams have faded at the end of the season for 2 straight seasons. He failed to have them properly conditioned to open this season and as a result, embarrassed themselves on national TV. Those are coaching issues, NOT ownership.
What I've noticed is that the good coaches command respect. Bill Parcells came to this team with a reputation as a guy who would come in and change the culture of this team. Even though he wasn't the HC, he was frequently at practices during this regime's 1st yr, but then he gradually phased himself out. The team's success seems to have declined in proportion to BP's involvement with the team. I think the 11-5 record during TS 1st yr was more a result of the players respect for BP than TS.
In professional sports everything is relative and TS is a relatively poor HC when compared to his peers in the NFL.

Oh Sparano definitely has his issues, don't get me wrong, but I think the extremity of this year's issues is due to Ross's actions in the offseason.

This is true..

Sparano has been a horrible coach ever since he walked through the doors, 2008 included..HAd we not gotten Pennington, we would have had Luke McCown as our starting QB and likely we would have had a losing season. It is Sparanos fault as to the whole Ross-Harbaugh debacle.. Has Sparano been anywhere close to even being an average HC, and not forced Ross to seek new direction, the whole Ross-Harbaugh situation likely would have never occured.. Its really all Sparano's fault for the whole thing.

So Harbaugh hurt Jim Schwartz's feelings? He's got the Niners playing at a very high level right now and has revived Alex Smith's career. I would take that for our team in a heartbeat over Captain Fistpump and his traveling sideshow.
 
Yeah, we really dodged a bullet. We wouldn't want to be 5-1 or anything.

Harbaugh is going to be an effective douche in this league. I love his postgame interview douchiness more than the actual on the field encounter. He explained the tussle as "I shook his hand too hard." :lol:
 
Last Yr People on here were saying Jim Harbaugh was Just a College Coach....at 5-1 looking alot better then the guy we could have Fired and then gave a new 2 yr deal to smooth over the "sorry we tried to replace you"...Lame Duck issues...
 
This is the dumbest ****ing bunch of hoop-la over nothing. I have watched the damn replays and Harbaugh was clearly fired up from the win and let's be honest the handshake wasn't that bad.

This problem stems directly to this over sensitive, over react media of the day.
 
That was hilarious.. Id like to see the Lions go all the way to the superbowl, but id also like to see Schwartz get fined.

Schwartz is the one that acted like an idiot. He was mad cause Harbaugh didn't stop for the handshake and gave him a slap on the back?
