"People talk about cold weather and it'd be tough to catch balls," coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters after the game, per the Bay Area News Group. "But the greatest catcher of all time, Michael Crabtree, catches everything. It's unbelievable. In the northern snowlands, down to the tropics' sunny scenes, he's catching the football. Where they throw a football, he'll be catching it. If my life depended on it and somebody had to catch a ball I'd enlist Michael Crabtree to do it."

He had 7 drops last year. We're talking about Jim Harbaugh who spews a lot of crap for the sake of talking. The same guy that traded for Blaine Gabbert and Jonathan Martin.

Coach Harbaugh emphasized that he never doubted Martin’s physical or mental toughness, and he believes that Martin can continue to have a successful career in the NFL. Coach Harbaugh also said that the atmosphere in the Stanford locker room, in his view, was not materially different from that of the San Francisco 49ers’ locker room.

He catches the ball with his hands, I've seen him make some spectacular catches.

The thing is, this is the same kid with the foot injury when he was first drafted that had his agent hold out to get more money based on where he was 'projected' to get picked.

He has always been a much better WR than Stevie Johnson, but who know how his Achilles is now?

My one hope regarding Crabtree is that when presented with better Qb play in Miami he will look better.

According to CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, free agent Michael Crabtree has no interest in re-signing with the 49ers.
Per Maiocco, "the 49ers rank 33rd (give or take) among teams on which he’d prefer to play next season." Of course, there are only 32 teams in the league, so the 49ers are an absolute last resort for Crabtree. The problem is Crabtree has drawn zero known interest from outside clubs since the season ended, with only the 49ers rumored to have interest in a reunion. The feeling isn't mutual. Crabtree is still just 27, but runs like he's 32 and never had separation skills from the start. Mar 13 - 4:12 PM

A league source tells Profootballtalk there's "little or no market" for free agent Michael Crabtree.
This is stating the obvious since Crabtree has yet to make a visit, but confirms there's nothing going on behind the scenes that's yet to be leaked. Unproductive of late with a long injury history, Crabtree is eventually going to have to swallow his pride and accept a discounted deal, likely for only one year. Mar 17 - 11:06 PM

ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim reports Washington has expressed interest in free agent WR Michael Crabtree, but the Chargers are "a stronger possibility."
This is the first we have heard about either link, and the first solid interest Crabtree has garnered since free agency began. Crabtree's skills have declined dramatically since he tore his Achilles' in 2013, but he is the best remaining receiver in a picked-over market. He should find a new home soon. Mar 14 - 11:19 AM

this makes no sense to what he has done on the field... i have seen him drop enough passes. plus he cant separate... gotta get open first!!!

what ever happened to Carters son? sign that guy Duron I think is his name

i heard that kid is all Diva and work ethic might be seriously lacking. His dad has to promote him more or less when he is on tv analysing!!!

I don't think Kap and Crabtree ever got on the same page. Crabtree has good hands but his speed has always been the question. I think the surgery before the draft was the one that has caused all his problems. He has never looked 100% as a pro. I still think he is an upgrade from Hartline.

So basically he is slow and doesn't get separation so this is Brian hartline mk II

Crabtree has a better catch radius and better yac.

He has a bad wheel, or else he prolly wouldn't be a free agent
