This is the NFL's immediate statement, which you can contrast when the allegations about the Patriots, Gruden and bunch of others came out. Seriously, people need to be more skeptical of this stuff.

If you like observing dumpster fires of lawsuits, why not. And somehow, I don't think Flores will do all that well in a deposition if it ever gets that far.

A lot of people feel that sham interviews are not okay. NFL says we are doing the best we can. Courts will decide, That's the best way. I support that, let them duke it out and see where we are at. This is important.

I don’t know what to tell you other than his claims about the Rooney Rule, which don’t logically implicate the Dolphins anyway aren’t the basis of a lawsuit, no matter how “a lot of people feel.” Hard to believe, but you don’t get to duke out every grievance you have with someone in court.

Flores isn't the first person to go through a sham interview. It happens every day but obviously Flo is the most important person this has ever happened to, I guess because he feels he was more qualified than Daboll? Anyway, If the court decides that private businesses can't hire whoever they want then I think they will have come to the wrong decision.

There was no indication that we even had interest. This board went nuts over a fan-blogger who tweeted that Miami was getting Harbaugh, with no other supporting reports. All articles that were posted about it all trace back to that one baseless tweet
 
The big problem here is unlike Watson - who could settle with all his complainants, the NFL cannot let perceived game fixing go without a full investigation. The amount of gambling money alone that is involved is probably astronomical and just wait till Congress grabs onto this situation...public perception of this is already trending against Ross and the NFL and with the offseason clearly in sight I think this might be THE story surrounding the game until some kind of punishment is handed down. Flores may eventually settle but there will be consequences for sure. IMHO
