Jim Harbaugh related news and updates

Ya there will be a need for evidence as far as the NFL forcing Steven Ross to sell the team and losing draft picks. WIthout hardcore evidence they really can't punish the team.
Well then in that case, Flores' lawyers think they have all the receipts, so we are going to find out.

It's sad, though, that in order to lose a dumb owner it's probably going to cost the team and the fans multiple draft selections. I don't see any point in taking away draft picks when the owner is the source of the issue.

I agree with that. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Minnesota, Minneapolis in particular, is one of the most dangerous ****holes to live in! have fun Harbaugh! cousins will definitely lead you to the promised land! 😏
I doubt he will be living in the city. I’m sure the Vikings will pay him enough money so he can afford to buy a house in a very safe neighborhood in the suburbs

I don’t know how dangerous the city of Minneapolis is but as a former law enforcement office in Miami Dade County for 30 years. I am very sure that Miami is a very dangerous city if you get caught in the wrong part of the city.

Considering that Flores's lawyers wrote in a court pleading that Plessy v. Ferguson banned discimination in places of public accommodation, I wouldn't bet the farm on what they think they have. (I have receipts by the way).

I have no doubt that Ross, now embarrassed and backed into a corner, is trying a Hail Mary with Harbaugh, offering him whatever he wants moneywise and powerwise for as long as he wants.

It’s almost like ”this can’t be real.”

I also wouldn't be surprised if Ross was burning up the phone lines to line up a buyer for this team right now. Getting out of the NFL would be a quick way to leave all the issues behind except for one, which is the one where he apparently had invested millions into a sports gambling outfit while simultaneously supposedly offering to pay his coach to throw games...

The big problem here is unlike Watson - who could settle with all his complainants, the NFL cannot let perceived game fixing go without a full investigation. The amount of gambling money alone that is involved is probably astronomical and just wait till Congress grabs onto this situation...public perception of this is already trending against Ross and the NFL and with the offseason clearly in sight I think this might be THE story surrounding the game until some kind of punishment is handed down. Flores may eventually settle but there will be consequences for sure. IMHO
Well thats an issue the NFL will have to deal with, Jim Irsay tanked for Luck(suck for luck), Cleveland, Cincinnati all because the draft system rewards losing which if the NFL wants to give the illusion there teams are competing every sunday then they must change their draft system otherwise factual or not the impression is what it is.

The NFL may punish Miami however the greater sin here is NY Giants and the fact they gave a very direct impression they hired a coach while still allowing another candidate to interview that to me is the heart of this issue.

Miami maybe the scapegoat on some level but the Giants are the team that if the NFL is truly concerned with cleaning the poop up they would hand them the heavier punishment.

If it's true that Brian Flores was bribed then why did not speak out about it right away? He waits until he was fired to do it. Ya I'm not believing that egomaniac.
Well he didn’t say anything because he was currently employed as the head coach of the Dolphins probably didn’t want to lose his job. If you watch his interview he didn’t even want to come forth with any of this so he’s basically committing career suicide by even doing this.

At the very least, I think this will force the NFL to go to a lottery system with the draft.

Maybe the lottery would be for the five teams with the worst record, or the bottom 10. I don't think it would have to be for the order of all 32 teams.

He didn’t want to come forth with any of this???

So he’s being held hostage by this law firm?

NBA teams still tank. They get more balls in the lottery.

If Curtis Painter didn’t change the NFL draft system, I don’t think Brian Flores‘ imagination will.

Sadly, the only evidence of the Giants doing anything at all is through a third party whose impression of the situation can be easily dismissed as hearsay unless Belichick has a text from the guy doing the hiring stating an intent to hire Daboll. That case literally hinges on that. Belichik would not be the first person to conflate "Yeah, he knocked the interview out of the park. Everyone is sold on him." with "We've decided to hire him." It's an erroneous assumption that won't hold up in court unless the guy doing the hiring directly told Bill the deal was done.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins are sure to become the major piece of news once the racism blows over.

I’m leaning towards this being the answer. With all of the changes recently (playoff expansion, schedule changes), this would be just another change. Without requiring proof of tanking or handing down punishments to multiple teams for supposed tanking, they can acknowledge that the opportunity to tank is there, and do something to prevent it in the future
