wtf is this guy thinking?? LOL he's one of the worst coaches in the league..and he wants a 5 year deal with GM control :sidelol:
He would be lucky to find another job as head coach!! He's as bad as wanny, if he signs for a 5 year deal, I would shoot in the head if I was a saints fan

Jim Haslett will propose a deal to Saints owner Tom Benson that could keep the head coach with the organization for five years.According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Haslett is seeking a five-year contract extension -- a substantial increase from the two-year extension Haslett had been seeking earlier this year. In addition, Haslett wants control of football operations, a move that would marginalize the role of current GM Mickey Loomis.

Benson will probably give it to him, the idiot that he is.

I dont know that even he could be that dumb.

Haslett is supposedly going to resign at the end of the year.

Haslett needs to go, his team quit on him this year and he quit on his team, its a terrible mix. They can blame this year on Katrina, they quit plain and simple.

He probably just asked for that to have a reason to resign at the end of the season...

If Haslett is making those demands, it is to force the Saints hand in getting rid of him. Or, he gets total control and tries to turn the team around on his own terms. I think he'd prefer to leave and try to start somewhere new.
