Jim Jensen hasn’t coached in the NFL and hasn’t coached anywhere in a while. For the past year has been project manager for a Plantation construction company, installing water and gas manes around South Florida.

Now he figures it’s time to get back on the sidelines, and he wants new Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano to know he’s here to lend a hand.

“It’s been a while,†Jensen said, “but it’s kind of like riding a bicycle.â€

The overachieving Dolphins fan favorite, who gained the nickname Crash for fearlessly playing every position aside from left wing, thinks he can help his old team. His only experience was one season as head coach of the Florida Firecats of af2 in 2001 and an assistant for the Florida Bobcats in, ahem, The Show.

Not sure of his coaching abilities, but he was one heck of a ball player. Always went all out. Who knows, maybe he would be a good special teams assistant or something.
