Jim Rome and his callers saying Philbin must go.

Bah. Rome is a good interviewer but his show is a train wreck. It's all sound bites, no substance.

Agreed. Rome and his sycophants are minimum 2 rungs on the Evolutionary ladder below Limbaugh & the dittoheads.

I'm curious to see what someone credible & objective like Dan Patrick has to say. I know his 1 time running buddy (Keith O) will have pitchforks sharpened & bonfires blazing tonight.

For those calling for Philbin's head today over this, answer me this. Would the franchise be better off long term making that move today? Whether you thought Philbin should have been fired after the season or not, it doesn't matter right now. Philbin is here today, what long term positives would there be to say fire him tonight?

It is very late in the process to start head coach hunting, and no big time candidate would probably want to tie their future to Hickey at this point. Ross set this season up that if the team fails again that it likely would be a clean sweep next January. Three non-playoff seasons for Philbin would put the nail in the coffin and Hickey's two year contract tied his fate to Joe. Instead of trying to piece together a front office late in the game, ride another season with Philbin. If we do well, great! If not, clean sweep.

Exactly Dude, if you think Martin would have been playing Left last year under Harbaugh, you would be mistaken, would have not seen the field playing in San Francisco

Yet, Capt Comeback supports the snake or so I read earlier today. But, Jim only had so much time every week to work with the players.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so...

If the last two games and the general ability of this team to put itself in position to lose games it should have well in hand weren't enough to fire Philbin, I don't see why this investigation should be.

What in our previous hc and gm search makes you think any top candidate would take this job?

I believe anyone who types the name of a man who for weeks prayed on national television that the Dolphins would go winless should be bullied Jmart style.

Yeah. I said it.

Its a blasphemous name a true fan should never utter, type, or acknowledge in any way. He should be dead to Dolphin fans.

Your right, at this point the bed has been made for next season.

He should have been fired right after the season ended, along with Ireland.

Ross missed the boat once again, he works in half measures and learned nothing from the past.

What makes you think Ross will clean house and not pull yet another half A$$ plan by keeping Hickey and getting rid of Philbin. Don't give me contract years either, because it hasn't worked that way yet with him. There is no guarantee Ross will do anything smart when it comes to this team, in fact, he has proven to do exactly the opposite.

Philbin going now would affect RT. Which is why there are posts bagging on RT. They think they've seen enough. Which is why I will never buy their opinions on anything.

I usually dont put much if any stock in what this douchenozzle has to say much less his assinine clones but theyre all on the sow now calling for his head based on The Wells report. For once I hope theyre right I think Phailbin is god awful and needs to go.

So, if I get this right; Rome is a terrible person, and awful sports radio show host, and you always disagree with him.

Until now.

You and this guy that you hate, and doesn't have any takes worth mentioning agree on this point.

Is that about right?
