Do any of you guys or gals remember what Jim Rome said last season about the Dolphins. After i heard his interview with Joey Porter on the radio and all his kiss a_ _ praise after the interview {And this went on and on} I started thinking about how Rommie, was begging every team we played after we had lost 8 games in a roll to beat the living crap out of us. It got so bad that every week he was calling the teams out that we were about to play and saying on the radio how any team that lost to the LOSER Dolphins was even crapper then we were. I remember when it got time to play the Ravens Rommie, (Girl Name). was so sure that we would lose but still he called the Ravens out and said if they losed to the Dolphins they would be the laughing stock of the NFL. This was week 13. Well you all know what happened we won that game and i couldn't wait to hear what Rommie, had to say the following monday. It was great Rommie, almost cried and thats true he did almost cry. He made so many negative comments about the Loser Dolphins last season i know he was practicing on what he was going to say about us this season. And then we started to win and win and win so now he wants the Dolphins to be on his radio and tv shows. Hey i love it when our Dolphins get there due for winning we deserve it after the bad season we had last year. But i don't like it when a team is down and you just bad mouth them to get ratings. You all know that alot of people hate the Dolphins i guess because we had such a great team for so long we may have not won anything in a long time but still we were almost always in the playoffs. And that ticked alot of people off also we had the greatest Quarterback to ever play the game. Alot of other fans hated that ie. pats, Jets, Bills. BERMAN..... I know your thinking if i didn't like Rommie, why would i keep listening to him well i did because i wanted to hear as much about football that i could and at that time his was the show that was on when i was driving around. and you guys know that on monday they talk alot about the past weekend of football. But i can't stand Rommie, i just wish that joey would of called him on it because i know that the Dolphins had heard some of the crap Rommie was spewing last season. Sorry i just needed to vent.....

Dude, you need to relax. That's just one of Rome's lines of schtick. It amazes me when people get so upset about what he says. He runs this very same line of schtick every single year until the winless team "chokes" and actually wins a game. Rome busted on Joey before the NE game, and, then, after the NE game he pretty much hit his knees and went right after his knob 
. Rome is an entertainer, and, the difference between him and some of these numbskulls on ESPN is that he knows what he does is entertainment. I thought the segment where he was slobbing Joey's knob on his show after the Pats game was hilarious. He ate his crow, and, did it with humor.
I like Jim Rome. He makes me laugh. I think his delivery is funny and, the constant resetting has the vibe of best freinds constantly going back to the same joke over and over like we tend to do. I know most people that listen to sports radio claim to not like Rome, but, I will say it. Him, Jason Smith on ESPN All Night....Those guys have the kind of sense of humor that just jives with mine.
The main thing is to realize is that it's all entertainment, and, if they've gotten you to the point of anger....Guess what? They did their job.:up:

Hey its really great that you like Jim Rome so much i am really happy that he entertains you so much but i don't like him i don't like anybody who makes it is duty to bad mouth the Dolphins and try and make them a laughing stock with there comments. If you don't listen/watch anyone who hits teams/players when they are down, then you can't consume ANY sports media. The losers are always going to be the butt of somebody's joke. It's the same situation with teams that are winning; the media will make them seem like the greatest thing since sliced bread (or Marino)
And yes, I do like Rome. I usually catch the end of his radio show on my way home from school. Most of the time, he's pretty fair; he hates on all the bad teams. I will admit though, he can get a little harsh on a certain team sometimes.

Like I said; It would be one thing if the Dolphins were the only team he did it to. The Lions have actually gotten WAY more heat than the Dolphins could ever DREAM of getting on his show. Was he a butthead about the Dolphins last season? Sure. Ever wonder why there are no "moderate" talk show hosts with any level of popularity on the radio? Because mamby-pamby radio doesn't work. The Lions are getting killed weekly on his show again. Don't like it? Don't watch or listen. Simple.
If you didn't watch the Rome Is Burning segments prior to and after the first NE games this year, man, it's your loss because Rome munched on some serious crow. Your last point is very sentiant...He's actually just like a troll. He does literally troll for rabid response, just like he got from you. I'm not sure why you put that in caps though. I hope that wasnt' a backhand at me, because if it was that would be against the TOS.

Sure. It's just about kicking somone when he's down. Point being....It'd be funny if it were the Bills or Jets or Pats...But the Dolphins?! :shakeno:
His shows format is a short attention span reset for his main points interspaced with a few origional segments throughout the show. Just like every other successful national radio show.

And, in fairness, when he runs his little self promos his quote is usually "Give me a week. That's all I ask. If you don't "Get it" after a week, you never will. He's carved and is carveing a niche in the sports radio game which is somthing nearly impossible. Given a choice between listening to Rome or Tirico and Van Pelt (Worst pairing ever...worst show ever) I'm picking Rome every time. Proiblem is in most East Coast markets he's up against Cowherd, who I also like.

You must realize that it wasnt Rome who made us a laughingstock last season. It was Scam Cameron, Cleo Lemon, and John Beck. Seriously, come on man, when you win 1 game and your QB throws the ball straight up in the air end over end and a LB picks it for a score, that is the very definition of laughingstock.
Rome is funny as hell. He is the only guy I can stand to watch on ESPN really. I dvr his show every day just to watch the burns. People are always watching the clowns on PTI and ATH and posting what they say on here, when those guys dont know anything about sports. They are TRYING to be personalities, but fall way short of Rome. Rome not only is way funnier than those guys, but he actually knows his stuff a little too.
I love how he clowns soccer, proclaims its his dream to see a team go 0-16, and keeps people in check who do stupid ****. Stay down
. He is always clowning TO, Pac man, shaq and other douchebags. If you dont want the guy bashing the phins, then we are going to have to avoid having the worst record in the league. Its not that much to ask. Dont blame Rome, blame Scam Cameron, Beck, and Lemon. And Camarillo being known as "the dream killer" is classic.
