I didn't see anyone else post about this. Looks like Stephen Ross talked to Jimmy about becoming a minority owner. I can just see the Parrotheads in the stands at Dolphin Stadium, slurping on Margaritas....the team could wear Hawaiian shirt uniforms.

what the **** does Jimmy Buffet know about owning a business (sincerely I dont know if he owns any, but I would bet my house I have more of a business sense than he does) let alone an NFL team... I hope Wayne selling this franchise hasnt doomed it... If true, this may have the makings of the faliure that is known as the dallas cowboys

If true, I see this as nothing more than Ross needing capital. Minority owners have virtually no voice in the business. They are used for investment only.

doesnt buffet own the margaritaville franchises. The restaurants, and i think he owns the margarita mix and flavored rums. not to mention his marketing for his shows, albums and everything else he does.

i'm no buffett fan, i like buffets way more. He's not doing anything football related. Maybe venue related. Whatever, if he wants to invest in the Phins to increase revenue, I'm fine with that. As long as he isn't making football decisions then i dont think it will affect the team to much.

He's actually a remarkably successful buisnessman that's spun a whole image into various franchises that include resturants, food and, beverage products. Unless you're worth millions, you probably don't have a better business sense than him.

Jimmy Buffett has a lot of money from his restaurant chains, and his tours do draw very well too. I actually like him, so i'm all for this.

YA GOT FINS TO THE LEFT! FINS TO THE RIGHT! CAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY KID IN TOWN!

Jimmy Buffett began his business empire in 1985 when he opened his first Margaritaville Cafe in Key West, Florida. There are now several Margaritavilles in America and the Caribbean. In 2002, Jimmy began building Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurants jointly with Outback Steakhouse. Over 30 CIP’s are in existence today with more in the works. The biggest addition to Buffett’s empire is currently under construction: a Margaritaville Casino and Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi that will open in 2010. In February 2008, plans were unveiled for a new restaurant in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii called “Jimmy Buffett’s At The Beachcomber.” It’s slated to be open at the end of the year.

Buffett has also expanded his empire to include Footwear, Frozen Foods, Beer, Tequila, and Frozen Concoction Creators.

I'd say he's a pretty good businessman, he built a multi million dollar empire all based around one song. He'd be strictly an investor.

I hope some of you were not waiting for me to be a 50% owner I cant come to miami without my possie Terrell Buckley , Lamar Thomas , Sam Madison and the hardest working ex dolphin of all time mr Randy Mcmicahel

Tried to amend my salt water habits.
Made it nearly seventy days,
Losin' weight without speed-eatin' shrimp skampi,
Drinkin' lots of orange juice and soakin' up rays.

Mahi-Mahi is paradise.
Heaven on earth with an onion slice.
Not too particular, not too precise.
I'm just a Mahi-Mahi in paradise.
