These franchise QB's contracts are starting to surpass Suh's.
Not to be outspent, Tannendouch is looking to sign a kicker, or FB to a $60 million signing bonus.

I think it’s more of an indicator of how quickly those top qbs are gonna fly off the board in the draft

7 nfl starts $74 mil guaranteed

On one hand it's a complete overpay. On the other hand I also think SF had to do it.

90 million in the 1st 3 years? 137 million total for 7 starts? John Lynch you just bet your career on 7 starts. Good luck.

I can see the Jets giving him that type of money, even Denver.

The reason I find it hard to believe is because Cousin IMO is not an elite QB. You might be right in that a desperate team like the Jets might be inclined to grossly overpay for his services given the fact that they have money to burn. Denver might be a little surprising in that Elway is not known to overpay regularly.

Yeah and really think they do not want to give that type of money to Cousins yet, is because he is not elite. In their own eyes. Elway seems frugal with money.
