Second and third string QB's usually kill us. Especially when they can run, get out of the pocket, and improvise.

However, I don't think any of that matters with Jimmy.

I think our defensive line is going to have a field day Week 2 against the Pats. Wake will be healthy, Mario will be angry, and if Lippett, Maxwell, and Howard can get up close to the line and manhandle the Patriots WR's, I think we can come out of New England with a W.

Our defense usually breaks down after week 10, but this is week 2, and the game will be played on a warm New England afternoon.

If we get a lead early, and force the Pats to pass, I think we destroy Jimmy.

I'm not saying he sucks, I just see at least 4 sacks coming.

Don't count them chickens before they hatch.

Never under estimate Belichek.....dude just finds a way. And it will be our 2nd game on the road under a new coaching staff and a lot of new players on D.

Our D broke down officially week 2 last season against Jacksonville

and in week one its not like Washington was an offensive force...

love the positivity, but I think especially with the D we will have to see how a lot of the new guys respond to the scheme and coaching staff... If they don't gel or the talent really is subpar then We will be in for a long season

Yeah I'm not getting over confident. He'll probably throw for 325 yards and 3 tds. We'll probably win though.

I don't know, I remember the Jacksonville game a little differently. I remember 20-20 in the second half and the defense forced three 3 and outs in a row if not 4 in a row, but the offense couldn't do a thing. Can't stop them forever. That was actually the game I knew the offense was crap.

I want that to be true, but I fully expect the Pat's to run, run, run. I'm not convinced our LBs will be able to do a damn thing about it.

Oh oh but the line. The line can't block. Those series were all 3 and outs all sacks. It was the line. You can't expect our offense to overcome 20 points. Thats just too much.

True. But they didn't stop them when needed...in my mind they buckled at the worst time

I just want to get through training camp without losing any key players.

It's sad when optimism is so roundly rejected around these parts. The new Dolphins start this year, that's just the way it's going to be. Deal with it.

I don't understand why people continue to think JG is going to light it up. How does anyone know this? Because he's sat behind Tom Brady? Yeah because Matt Cassel, Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett are such forces today. Oh Matt Cassel went 10-5 as the Pats starting QB in 2008? Yeah that was 5 losses more with the insane team Brady had in 2007. Let me remind you JG is inheriting a team that went 3-5 to close out 2015. Brady is one of the greatest of all time. With Brady in they probably go 3-1, most likely. With a complete unknown under center people really think JG could do the same? Yeah right. I see all these people saying JG is going to light it up... To that I ask, what if he sucks?

I agree.
Belichick will adjust their offense to predominately run based with high percentage throws. Their defense will have to carry them.
If our oline, DL and LB's come to play, it will be a close contest decided on turnovers or coaching decisions.
WE definitely have a chance to steal one up there, I hope we dont blow it.

Well he was 30 for 44 for 359 yards and 2 TDs. Not sure why they only scored 20 points.
