He knows how to draft and if we get gruden or who ever both knows what it takes to win.

I want Andy Reid as my coach/President.

Every week it getting closer and closer to becoming a possibilty.

ferchissake.. we've already had one quitter in that role. No way do I want to reward another who not only quit on us but foisted an already Bears franchise-killer like Wanny on our owner. Thanks but I'd rather drink castor oil.

Rob Konrad, John Avery, JJ Johnson, Dorion Brew, Yatil Green.....yeah JJ was hitting home runs in Miami in early rounds.

Aside from JT and Surtain, Jimmy didn't do much drafting wise in Miami. Got lucky with Zach late in the draft, but you can't depend on that every year.

did u read what u wrote??? the SAME andy reid thats losing his team??? the same guy whose players are jumping offsides in situations the offense clearly isnt going to snap the ball - to lose games??? that andy reid??? or the guy that cant ever finish better than 2nd???

sounds like a winner

please tell me you are joking. because u are out of your mind. yeah JIMMY JOHNSON doesnt know ANYTHING about drafting. yep he "got lucky" with thomas. u should be banned for posting garbage like this.

jimmy johnson SINGLE-HANDEDLY built a cowboy team that won 3 super bowls and probably would have won 5 if he had remained coach. a team that was SO TALENTED barry switzer was able to win a superbowl in dallas. THEN he came to miami and in 3 years he had drafted 2 guys that should be in the hall of fame. and 2 allpros in pat surtain and sam madison.

THAT ALONE is more talent than we have had IN FIFTEEN YEARS COMBINED SINCE HE LEFT. get ur head out of u know where. wake up dude

Jimmy was fresh out of college when he built that Cowboy team and had a familiarity with the college players talent. The farther he got away from his college days the worse his talent evaluting and drafting became. jimmy did take a lot 'gambles" in the draft too. Some paid off big, some flopped big.

is that why dan marino begged jimmy to stay another year? Because he hated the guy?

not true...

I will take 2nd over what we are any day of the week...

Plus its not like Andy Reid cant take his team deep into the playoffs or develop Qb's and trade them for value..

No I would not want that guy......

not true...

that fresh outta college thing worked really well for saban didnt it?? guess he was still fresh outta college when he drafted Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Sam Madison, and Pat Surtain huh? those guys must have taken 10 years to graduate - dummies.

and yes jimmy johnson decided to leave miami a year before he did. dan marino and wayne huizenga asked jimmy to meet them at which time dan asked jimmy to give it another year before he stepped away. get it right dude

The fresh outta college thing works for some and not so well for others. Not so well for Saban because his teams depend on a system, sort of like Belicheat. JJ's teams depended on straight up talent. JJ was a better evaluator of overall talent than Saban. Saban can pick guys better for his system. The problem for Saban was either his system is not good enough for the NFL or he didn't stick around long enough for it to work. Also, you do realize that college coaches start looking at kids as early as jr. high? The fact remains that Jimmy hit on some guys and missed big time on others, just like most coaches/scouts/draft gurus. Don't make him out to be some draft genious. His biggest success came because Minny was stupid enough to go for the Herschel Walker trade.

WH begged JJ to stay. Marino went along with it as a favor to WH, and being a vet did not want to go through a rebuilding process with another coach. Marino to this day cannot stand the guy....

I posted "Me and Marino hate JJ." For some reason you took issue with that...There is no doubt that Marino does not like JJ. Even if, as you recall, the season before they both retired Marino and WH asked JJ "the quitter" to return as coach. AFTER that season played out Marino wanted NOTHING to do with JJ. stop with the revisionist history and tell the whole story. I am not saying he always hated JJ, but after that season where you say he "begged" JJ to return, the hate began.....If you think Marino and JJ ended on good terms you are sadly mistaken. I offer the following link for your edification:

u write this and then have the audacity of posting a link to something ARMANDO wrote as proof??? are u out of your mind?? its doesnt even say anything. jimmy threatened to bench marino and didnt and marino said **** you??? thats your story??? wow thats weak. plenty of QBs get into with their coach. aaron rodgers did early last year with his.

doesnt change the fact MARINO asked jimmy to give it another year. JUST LIKE I SAID.

and your "revisionist history" and goof-ball ideas dont account for the fact Jimmy Johnson drafted: Jason Taylor, Pat surtain, Sam madison, and Zach Thomas - 4 all pros YEARS after he was LONG GONE from the college game.

Jimmy KNEW TALENT. its as SIMPLE as that. its not up for debate, there are no ifs ands or buts. its a FACT and there are men with rings and yellow jackets walking around that prove it
