As I was watching the game at a local establishment today, I spoke to a die hard Cowboy fan who holds Jimmy in great esteem, and I plainly stated that the troubles within the Dolphin organization started during Johnson's reign. The way he bucked the tradition, handled Marino, and most especially the way he left his buddy in charge. Yet, he has generally glided free of blame for this progressive downturn. Well, I am going to hold him accountable in many ways. And as a fan over over 4 decades I see the big picture and his part of that will have an impact on those of you who continue to watch into the next 4 decades. Sorry, Jimmy, you are probably a neat guy and a good guy, but you will not be held in esteem in this organization by me.

Did you drink a lot of alcohol at this establishment by any chance? Cause you make absolutely no sense at all.

What?
Jimmy is NOT god, but he did give us Surtain, Madison, Zach and Jason..

I am quite sober....

Absolutely sober my friend. Even the die hard Dallas fans who have nothing but respect for Jimmy said he didn't handle things well in Miami.

All great players, but I am speaking more from an organizational standpoint...

It is obvious Jimmy has a number of apologist on this website. I don't mind presenting a different viewpoint. And I am no casual fan, but have followed this team for a long time. My opinion only, even if it is not popular.

Lee, you are right. JJ started the offensive downward spiral that will take years to pull out of

I don't disagree with you and I don't think he's really held "free of blame" like you think.

He made many mistakes and was solely responsible for us having Wannstedt. I was excited that he chose to come to Miami but I'm not happy he did now looking back.

You are entitled to your opinion..
I did'nt understand ( from your first post ) if you were bashing Jimmy
or saying he was great...

I don't like Jimmy Johnson at all. Mr. Three Year Plan. What a crock! He got some heat, got whooped by Jacksonville and decided he was done and quit on us. Shame on him for being a quitter, and for leaving Wanny behind to push Marino out the door. I heard George Lucas is doing the Ace Ventura special edition DVD. They've reworked a famous line: Jimmy Johnson should die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

I will say this that speaks to your point. After Jimmy we certainly became a Defensive team. It kills me that we have had the good or great defenses the past 6 or 7 years and no real run to the SB to show for it!!! That shows how inept our offenses have been. I hope Saban can pay attention to both sides of the ball while he is here. However long that is going to be!!!

He quit on his team and left us with Wannstedt. Enough said.

Look at the big picture of his moves and tell me he left
