I'm thinking that Jimmy Wilson could be a great free safety for us. With his instincts for the ball, and his tackling ability I think he would do awesome. That could solve a lot of our problems at the position and give us some much needed takeaways.

We just need a playmaker back there besides Bell....no one can make a big play, and smith and davis have been M.I.A. :(

We need someone back there who can cover. We've been playing our "playmaker" and he's been getting burned constantly.

I'm going out on a limb here, but, don't we have the league's best corners here (according to some players who "sometimes" even play, sic)? Wilson might morph into a good safety... it's alarming that we haven't found a keeper yet. Don't worry; Sparano likes Jones back there.... and so do our opponents!

You should have stopped after your seventh word in this sentence. In no way shape or form is Bell a playmaker. The guy was solid for a few seasons but has been God aweful this year.

I am hoping that Reshad Jones gets a chance to play SS...I really think Bell should be benched..

Not to mention the fact that there are many linebackers in the league who cover better than our SS.

Couldn't hurt to try. Our safeties are pathetic. If Wilson is a fit it basically saves us a draft pick for next year.

Our whole secondary needs a make over, only player that should stay is Davis, because he has potential. Smith is GARBAGEEEEEEEEEE and so is Bell now..we basically play with no FS since were always getting beat deep, and when they have a chance to make a tackle on a player who is on the floor they just stand there in awe and watch him walk into the end zone....

I would leave Jimmy Wilson at CB. Put Reshad Jones at SS and Clemmons at FS.

After the season Sean Smith is entering the final year of his contract, Will Allen is on a 1 year deal and Nolan Carroll . . . hell who knows right now. We need a young promising CB and Wilson could be the guy. It's time to experiment with Reshad Jones at SS and Clemmons back as the safety net.

I agree Kdawg. I think our safety tandem should be Clemons at FS and Jones at SS. They would seem to complement each other well. Clemons is great at getting the secondary lined up and Jones is the supposed playmaker. Atleast give it a shot this year to see if we need to draft a safety early.

As far as Wilson I wouldn't mind it. But I'd try to Clemons/Jones combo first before. You can never have enough CB's in today's NFL.
