JMO but Mr Ross lies to us !

As soon as we realize Ross doesn't give a rats a$$ about us, the better off we'll be. He doesn't know football, he hires people who don't know football, he's a moron. Other than that, I'm sure he's a stand up guy.

The phins (and us) are in trouble as long as he's in charge.
 
Of course he lies to us.

He lies to us because it's none of our business like some of you think it is.

First off, its paraphrased, which means, what you stated and what he said are probably light years apart.
Second, you have ZERO idea what actually happened between Ross and Harbaugh. None. Zilch, Nada.
Third, if you are getting your facts from the Media, especially the Miami Media, you are in for a lifetime of shortcomings. You want to look into people that lie, bold faced to your face, look at the Media.

Let's not be naive here...we know Ross wanted Harbaugh. Ross didn't get him or Harbaugh showed little interest. Ross did say that Sparano was the best man for the job. Then he gets fired midseason while Jim Harbaugh gets a first round bye and will be the unanimous choice for NFL Coach of the Year. Ross knew what he was doing going after Harbaugh.
 
You guys have bought what the media has sold, hook, line, and sinker.

Stephen Ross never once said that he was looking for a name coach or a star coach, and I challenge anyone to find me the video link or a link with quotations where Stephen Ross either says or is quoted in print that "I want to hire a star coach", or that "I will not be outbid for Jeff Fisher."

It's not surprising to me that some of you have taken a bunch of baseless speculation on the media's part and have completely spun it the way the media hoped.

When Stephen Ross held his press conference after firing Tony Sparano, he never once stated in that press conference that he was looking for a star head coach. To paraphrase, he stated that the team would cast a wide net and hire the best coach for them, a young Don Shula if that is possible.

The only people who have stated that Ross was after a big name are Armando Salguero, Omar Kelly, Ben Volin....etc. Basically, guys who are just speculating and try to draw conclusions based on the fact that Ross has tried to glitz up JRS for gameday.
 
I think he would do himself a favor to stfu! Reguardless of what really went down with Harbaugh and why he made his decision the Round Table was a terrible idea. You really don't need a spectacle like that to defend your actions. Everyone aware of the situation knew Sparano wasn't your first choice. All the round table did was put Sparanos anger on full display, and give Ross a spotlight for his bull****.

Did Ross have a presser yesterday? I had to fly right after this went down. Once again if he did bad idea! You don't need a presser because you didn't get Coach X! All that does is poke the hornets nest.

Obviously he had interest or he never would have met with him in the first place. I won't disagree to that.

Anything above and beyond that in regards to Harbaugh is nothing more than Media provoked BS. Yeah, the EXACT same media that proclaimed that Harbaugh was a done deal and on the flight back with Ross. I believe that is one of the beloved bozos on the Miami Radio station? Joe Rose maybe? I don't know, I can't listen to those idiots.
So, it is the MEDIA that has been lying. That is a FACT!
Whether or not Ross has? I don't think anybody has the tiniest bit of proof, yet it yields threads and posts such as the one we are in. Do you find that hypocritical? I certainly do. To a ridiculous level.

Accountability in the media has gone directly out the window. They a can say and do whatever the hell they want, yet are never ever held accountable. They can shovel BS that directly affects a man's lively hood, yet don't have to worry about their own jobs being drawn down for LYING!!! That is Hypocrisy defined.

Now this I mostly agree with.

Ross is guilty of nothing more than showing his hand too early, or at the wrong table all together.
I'm far from sold on Ross as a GM, but I am not willing to call him a liar until I actually see something that he says, not what the media decides to put into his mouth.
I also know that a man doesn't grow Millions of dollars by being ignorant, or at least not very often. Hopefully, he will figure it out sooner more than later, but he is relatively new to the game. If you look at the successful teams, most of those owners have minimum of decades in this arena. Some have generations....which I understand is very trying on this instant gratification fanbase, but that's the way it is folks.

As a new owner he has been bad advice. First lets do away with the I won't be out bid mentality just bad negotiating more to the package then just money. Second no more Fisher saga out of them Dolphins. Ross needs to issue a gag order to the staff. Dwelling over Fisher is going to make whoever you hire look like Sparano post Harbaughgate.

I agree with the gag order, but to be honest, I that by far, what has been written is nothing more than speculation taken out of context...but, that gets back to media accountability again.

I suggest this. The Harbaugh situation will be nothing more than a blip in the rearview mirror if we start winning again, and I personally don't think Fisher was the right guy anyways.

We will see......
 
Well the media certainly lies. People are interested in lies. No one wants the truth anymore. Lies and bad news sells in today's society. You can't blame the media for lying to people.

Gag order not to feed them beast! Them reports coming out that them Dolphins feel used just makes us look bad. It didn't happen move on and from what we claim it didn't happen because we didn't want it to.

I didn't want Fisher either for what its worth.
 
How are those ticket sales going? Truth is Mr. Ross better give a crap about the fans, because that stadium is starting to look like a div 2 college game.

Right, but that's EXACTLY my point.

How can you put a gag order on the Media? They are making crap up 98% of the time, and the other 2% they skew to make a story. The media in South FLA is the WORST!!!

Like I said, it was a Radio hack that proclaimed that Harbaugh was indeed signed and on a jet back to FLA with Ross and Ireland. That didnt come from Ross' camp.

For all we know, it went down much more like:

Ross: "Nice team you've put together there in the Ghey Bay Jimbo"
Harbaugh: "Thanks. Nice jet you have there Mr Ross".
Ross: "Any interest in coaching my team next year?".
Harbaugh: "No thanks, I am gonna stay here in the Ghey Bay Mr Ross".
Ross: "Okay, thanks for your time, and enjoy dinner on me".
Harbaugh: "Thanks Mr Ross. It was good to meet you".
