I just googled Flacco to see what people are saying about him. I found a couple of articles that say he might be slipping into the first round. Maybe even to the Bears at #14. I think that's a stretch but you never know. Anyway here's some linkage

In this one check near the middle of the article under Around The League.

And here's one about the ravens working out Flacco.

I like Flacco from what little I've seen of him but there's a lot of buzz now saying that he might be gone by end of the first round. And even that he might go before Brohm. I think that's a little much but who knows. Anyway this is your Flacco update!!

Too risky...he won`t go in the 1st..this guy may be riding the bench for a couple years..so he`ll slip to the 2nd...it seems to be inevitable.

I've felt for a while now that Flacco would wind up going in the first round. Every year a QB catches fire from the Senior Bowl/Skill Competitions/Combine/Pro-Days and winds up being taken a round or more earlier than they should be. Rarely is this hype deserved.

Philip Rivers was projected as a second round pick when his senior season ended and was expected to be available for our first round pick. Obviously, his stock caught fire and he wound up a top five pick. In 2006 it was Jay Cutler, who improved his stock nearly a full round with a strong combine. You could make the case that John Beck and Trent Edwards fit that description last year, going from projected Day 2 picks at the seasons end to second rounders.

While the jury is still out on most of these players, I think it is way too much of a gamble for someone to take Flacco in round one, although I would be surprised if it didn't happen.

There's risk in every QB taken in the draft. I see the risk alot lower for a player like Flacco taken at the end of the first round or the early part of the second round, than for a team to risk 60 mil on a QB like Ryan...or Russell...or Cutler...or Smith...or Rodgers....all taken far too high in their drafts.

Way too many questions. This guy is a major project. 2 or 3 yrs down the line he might be a real nice qb.

I agree. He is a multi year project. IMO, he is riding his size and arm up the draft board. While size and arm strength are great, it is what is between the ears and in the heart that make the best QBs. Don't get me wrong, a minimum size and arm strength are needed but, IMO, don't make the QB.

I like Flacco, would like to see us take him, but not as early as #32, so I guess he's off my wish list. Not worthy of that high a pick.

just another of many reasons to "not pass on matt ryan!!!"

As soon as his senior bowl week was over I said he would slip into the first round. What's interesting is he may theoritically slip into the top 10 which I still dont see but its no longer out of the realms of possibility

From what I've heard of him since before the senior bowl i wanted him to end up as Phin either a 2nd or 3rd round pic. Because we already had beck we would have the chance to groom Flacco for a couple of years. but hey if he gets picked in the first round by somebody else then good for him and I wish him luck. We could still puck up Henne or Woodson or somebody. At this point I'd day it's 50/50 that he gets picked in the first round and no way that he makes it to the 3rd.
