I haven't read the comments on this thread yet, but these would be my responses to Joe, if he was sitting in front of me, when he said these things:
JP: "We have more wide receiver talent than we've ever had."
HB: "You had Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews, Binns and Keller, before. That wasn't enough? Granted, there were injuries, but there could be this year as well. And while I'm extremely excited about Landry,.. on paper, he's a possession receiver, a move the chains guy. Is adding him to the roster creating that much more talent to the wide receiver pool?"
JP: “I think we have as many running backs that look like they can play in the NFL as any time since I’ve been here.”
HB: "Didn't you have Reggie Bush? Don't you still have Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas?
JP: “I think we have a good chance to be good."
HB: "When do you want us to be great?"
JP: “Look, I know this game is ultra-competitive, but I don’t really believe it’s ultra-complicated. So I don’t believe it’s possible to have a great passing game when you’re [allowing] 58 sacks.”
HB: "Is it possible to have a great passing game without a running game? What steps have you taken or changes have you made to ensure we'll have one this year?"
