Did anyone see what happened to Joe Paterno? He got nailed by one of the players and he got carted off the field. Hope he's going to be ok...

time for him and bowden to retire or be forced out.

 wtf...he should retire because he got hit on the sideline?

it really is time for him to retire.

The game is so fast and he can't even try and protect himself over on the sideline.

75 years old. Retire and enjoy your life. Enjoy your grandkids. Why work yourself to the grave??? I don't understand it, but hey. Whatever.

Actually, isn't he 79? I wouldn't be surprised if Joe didn't have a torn acl at the least.

He is 79 and will be 80 next month. He fractured his tibia and has ligament damage to his knee-area. And he should not retire, he is a living legend.

He had surgery and is projected to make a full recovery.....he is projected as coaching from the coaches' box for the game against Temple this week:yes:

he needs to retire, but not because the game is passing him by. He's going to be 80, it's about time to just call it a day.

Also a lot of Penn State's turn around last year (and recruiting success the last couple of years) is because of Larry Johnson Sr (who got everybody he himself recruited last year, AJ Wallace, Antonio Logan-El, Maurice Evans, Phillip Taylor).

He hasn't done too bad this year coaching wise, if Morelli actually played up to his talent (and didn't cost them the Ohio State or Wisconsin game) they'd be a pretty good team.

I agree. Penn State had many chances to get in and take over the game but kept shooting themselves in the foot. Sucks.
