Moore has always been a backup as he was last year
NOPE! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
he got into the starting job after the panthers qb went down and the coaches gave him the full time gig after his steller play, under almost the same circumstances he had here this past season.
the following year, he got injured, came back early and wasnt ready. the team was awful and the new regime the following year cleaned house.
he got the starting gig here after henne was hurt. who is on the team? who is our starter right now? it aint henne. its MATT MOORE!! he won tghe starting job and henne was sent packing.
everyone acts like moore has been in the nfl for 9 years and been a career backup. he has been with 3 teams. he was a walk on with the boys who already had 3 qb's they liked. they gave him a look but it was a numbers game. he never played in dallas, not one down and was cut before the first pre season. they liked him and remembered him and thats how he ended up here, the dallas tri fecta remembered him and snatched him up.
i already said what happened with the panthers [team #2].
he has played LESS than 2 seasons worth of games under bad circumstances with bad teams whos regimes got run off the following year. NO ONE can grow, much less be a franchise player under those circumstances. he has played damn good both in carolina and the finz with the hands he has been dealt.
he is a YOUNG player with a HUGE ceiling, not a worn out 9 year vet as he is portrayed by so many [who wont even bother to do the research and recognize the FACTS.
after the season and henne being run off, we had NO ONE else, so of course we are going to bring in qb's. we have to, even if matt would have made the pro bowl! we have nobody behind him. thats why we have the immortal gerrard now. and we WILL draft one.
but matt moore IS going to be the starting qb on opening day. gerrard will be lucky to make it out of camp, he is a worn through tater chip who has shot his nfl load. he's a body with a day to day contract.
its a NEW SYSTEM! its a hard system to learn and EVERY PLAYER ON OFFENSE will be competing. every position should always have competition. doesnt mean they are or want to replace a player. competition is good for the players and the team.
man i love this. all the moore doesnt have chance, he is a backup, a bum, has no chance people are squirming in their seats right now knowing that matt moore is probably going to be the starter. no flynn. no manning. no joe blow who could easily put him on the bench as so many have said anyone could. man its SWEET!!!!
now i am rooting even more for matt. i really dont care about the name on the jersey as long as a player is productive and has promise. and thats matt moore right now. this new staff is already proving to be worth their salt as they watched the film and made the CORRECT decision.
