"One of the functions of the head coach is to create an atmosphere free from distractions,'' Philbin said. "And to the degree that I contributed to any of those distractions, intended or not doesn't really matter, that falls on me. It's my responsibility, so certainly I accept that responsibility as a head coach.

"Really, that's all I have to say on it.''

When asked if Tannehill will start Sunday, Philbin said only that he had already covered the topic.

Tannehill said Wednesday he expects to start and has been practicing with the first team all week. Backup quarterback Matt Moore confirmed his routine hadn't changed from Week 1.

"We're going about our normal week," Tannehill said Wednesday. "It's all this stuff on the outside that seems like the world is collapsing. ... I think the guys in the huddle are confident, not only in their abilities but in mine."

He did STFU....lol.

Damned if you do, damned if you dont with you people.

Joe NEVER gives more than he has to and you people murder him for it regardless.

I will be glad when Ross is noncommittal on a coach, maybe he should go give some more career advice to another prospective coach.

Another, "It's my fault" speech. Since this season began it's Philbin, Lazor, Tannehill all telling us they're sorry, ,"It's my fault." "It's on me." It reads that they are taking accountability, but they are actually saying they're sorry for their actions or inactions.

Have we had a year with so many apologies before? Do other teams do this as much?

Are u advocating LAzor as head coach? If so hell no, what has he done to warn that distinction.

I was hoping he was wanting him on as the interim coach, or I hope he was. Lazor has not even done his oc job, how can he be hc?

BSPN & SoapOperaCenter are bar stool buffoonery. :tubes:

Like i said in another thread , Philbin isnt the one calling the plays in to Tannehill , Lazor is the man thats doing that ,I cant see Philbin having to approve of each call thats sent in on each play , just like coyle is making the defence calls , IMO if Philbin is having to approve each play Defence and Offence , he sure as hell is a busy man , IMO if a play isnt working then LAZAR NEEDS to be the one to call a diffrent play exc.

I'm pretty sure league rules dictate he's not allowed to just shut up. Not only that but the team has committed to going above and beyond league rules in an attempt to be more transparent, which apparently is something fans wanted. Well, unless the team doesn't say what we want to hear. And I think after a loss, any loss, the only things fans want to hear is:
Philbin: I fire myself
Hickey: Can I have a do-over and take Bridgewater?
Lazor: I should have ran all the times I called passes, and passed all the times I called runs.
Tannehill: Moore is awsomer. Can somebody help me with my resume?
