You have to believe the fact that he is an o-line coach at heart AND he coached the great robert gallery and Eric steinbach at iowa,also with the glaring need at right tackle he is most definitely goin to be considered high on the draft board..I personally wouldn't be opposed to having a very good to great o-line.especially if jerry can stabilize the right guard position,but wouldn't be upset if we went in another direction either.pass rushing olb etc
 
I see us taking an OL in the draft as well unless we trade out of the pick. The fanbase won't be happy, but it really speaks volumes as to how much Tony really screwed up our offensive line.
 
I think it depends on whether or not we get Flynn.

I think if we end up getting him than we get a RT to protect our investment. If not, than I think we go defense.
 
Drafting O-Line in the first round is negatively received by us as fans because we have greater needs, notably at QB. If we can bring in Matt Flynn and Philbin believes he is the real deal then why not draft Reiff? Imagine having Flynn as a potential franchise QB with Jake, Pouncey and Reiff protecting him. I'd rather we took a playmaker on D with the pick and sorted RT in the later rounds or FA, but Reiff would be a solid pick if we get Flynn in.
 
If we get Flynn I'm cool with getting a RT in round one. I'd like them to get a TE in round 2 to help fasano and Flynn
 
Man...if flynn works out and we actually can get some consistency..I would be so happy.the defense won't get worse than 15th in the league and with the easy schedule?we can be in the playoffs this year! Let me not get to ahead of myself,but dammit we have to be due for our proud franchise to turn around.goooo dolphins!!

Agreed. I realize that it's 100% speculation right now that we will target Flynn, but if we do solve our QB issue that way (or at least try to solve it) then I could live with another OL pick.

They need to go with best player available for sure. If need be trade down and pick up addition picks either in round 1 or in the 2nd. The only way I stay is if one of the QB's slips, Blackmon, Clairborne or Richardson. This draft doesn't have that stud LB or DE that people will want to grab and at least in the early rounds appears to be more offensive and Defensive. I for one wouldn't mind Reiff as he can play LT and Big Jake has been banged up the past two years. If he heals and rebounds awesome then we have a formidable line if he gets injured again then you can slide Reiff over. I think Jerry showed enough to possibly have a chance at helping out at RT.
 
If we have our QB, I don't care what we draft in the first round as long as it's a need.
 
I love the idea of Philbin with Flynn because it gives us the option to go OL with our first pick. If we go OT with the first pick, and get a pass rusher and safety in rounds 2 and 3, I will be thrilled.

if we dont get flyyn then we must do everything in our power to get rg3
 
Replace Rieff with DeCastro and I could get behind it. As much as I don't want another first round OL, DeCastro is a special talent and it would be hard to get pissed about having him.
