I think he will have an average season...

I am expecting another 7-9 season.

I love him as a coach... problem is, the other half of the equation is the players... we just don't have that many good football players on the roster..

we can't send a bunch of mediocre talent out there and expect to be competitive. can you imgaine darelle revis being scared of brian hartline? mario williams worried about lydon murtha blocking him?
tom brady worried that tyrell johnson or dick marshall is going to give him fits in the defensive backfield?

The bar is set pretty low so I voted above average. Hell if this team starts the season 1 and 6, they are off to a better start.

I'll wait for the draft. It's hard for me to make any guesses on how this team will do, when I don't know what the team will look like.
I believe this is the best reply so far. I too can not decide until I see how this draft plays out.

I will say 7 or 8 wins based on what we did last year. We need a starting pass rusher and a corner. We need a starting RG and WR and Qb. If everything were to fall in place then maybe 9 wins. I think its possible we get 4 starters out of this draft if things fall perfectly.

I really think that MIAMI will surprise a lot of people. QB, i/m/o, is NOT a problem. Just "hype". MOORE, w/no "preseason", and few "reps" (as the back-up QB) until HENNE went down, and an unprepared HC/new OC, and the COLUMBO-CAREY fiasco protecting (HA!) his right side, was rated the 12th best QB in the NFL. Put him on a team w/a solid OL and an "NFL-ready" HC, and I have to think that he'd be well into the top 10. "Elite" QB? MIAMI i/m/o doesn't need one: they already HAVE one, and his name is MATT MOORE. And MIAMI better extend his Contract, because he did well under ridiculous circumstances last season, and the whole football world saw it. So, if the MIAMI franchise remains its typical STUPID self, a whole lot of other "football people" won't be, and he'll be gone QUICKLY in the 2013 F/A period...and MIAMI will have nothing to show for developing its talent...AGAIN.

Coach PHILBIN must feel similarly, at least a little bit, because FLYNN was there for the taking and $$$ was no problem; and if "money talks", we could have stolen S.F.'s QB as well.

SPARANO's gone, and so are COLUMBO and CAREY. I say "bravo", although as to CAREY, he was also a victim: say what you want about his weight, etc., he was a solid RT here for a lot of years. I/m/o, he was a victim of our OL "GURU". He hadn't played G since "The U"!!! So you move him to RG, to make room for a washed-up, mediocre-on-his-best-day schmuck like COLUMBO??? BRILLIANT!!!

I don't expect similar "brilliance" from Coach PHILBIN. In fact, I liked his approach from Day One. B MARSHALL HAS talent, no doubt. BUT, given his prima donna, diva attitude, was he worth it? I/m/o, NO! MOORE made him a "deep threat" again, so he throws MOORE under the bus BRILLIANT!!! And I think that HARTLINE's frankly a better "deep threat". He even made PENNINGTON look good throwing deep, and now, he'll have the chance to show what he can do...IF...MIAMI doesn't lose HIM to F/A as well!!! Maybe BESS, i/m/o the 2nd or 3rd best "slot WR" in the League, will re-emerge, and maybe GATES will now be allowed to show what he can do w/o an oversized crybaby taking away everyone's chances. All this, w/o even TALKING about WR MOORE and WALLACE, and anyone that MIAMI might draft!!!

For once, I'm optimistic...but worried.

Moore has had 4 years of peseasons and camps and has never ever won a starting Job. dont forget he was part of a losing panthers franchise who started Clausen over him. Mumbo Jumbo he needs reps and this and that. He is not a starting NFL QB and if you start him he will never be a Top 10-15 QB.

matt moore brandon "made" brandon marshall.... wow.

so is ireland "brilliant" like he brought in columbo brilliant, or brilliant like he brought in matt moore, (an ELITE qb), when no other team in the league even offered him a look....

im confused.

furthermore, could you remind me just how hartline made pennington look good throwing deep. hartline wasn't even here in 2008. in 09 he was hurt in the 3rd quarter of the 3rd game. in 2010 he was hurt on his first play from scrimmage. in 2011 he didnt' play.....

im confused.
