ESPN.com running some silly poll on the 'Greatest Owner Ever' and Joe Robbie is one of about 20 options to vote on.

So how about this...

He's in 2nd place! Who knew he was so well thought-of across the country? I honestly would've thought most sports fans now would hardly know who he was.

I wished Joe would have opened up his checkbook when Csonka, Kiick and Warfield jumped to the WFL. Who knows how many more Super Bowls we would have won.
 
tru dat goin' deep, he also screwed Danny Thomas, but I loved him anyway. He brought us the Miami Dolphins.

I did not vote for five...only Joe, several times. He'll be winning shortly.

Robbie was a great owner. If I remember correctly, Joe Robbie Stadium was the first stadium to be built with private money. Robbie was tight with the checkbook, except when it came to Bob Griese. But, he stayed out of the football operations side, what a good owner should do.

He built Dolphin Stadium with his own money, and nearly went broke, so I hear.
 
Hard to believe the Rooney family isn't winning. I'd throw them into my 2nd place.
