The ball was there. Ted Ginn has just got to jump up and catch it for a 20- 25-yard gain . . . jump up, sell your body out . . . you're not looking to run . . . jump up as high as you can and catch that ball.

Get it into your body and get ready for a collision. Instead, it looked like quick hands and no concentration. Me watching it, it looked like a dropped ball.

That was a tough catch, but they're all tough catches in the NFL. You've got to make that catch.

In all honesty, as much as Ginn should have caught that ball, there were MUCH easier balls that he's dropped this year. If he can't catch the ones that hit him in the chest, why would anyone expect him to catch these?

does anyone here think the opposite ?

i'm not a pro-ginn, neither am i a ginn-hater. But i can objectively affirm that he should've caught that, it was right in his hands... and i think it's the general consensus on here...

I absolutely agree. WRs in this are expected to make tough catches. I read all the comments about how the QB's throws are the reason our WR struggles.. HAs anyone ever watched Bret Favre play? The throws the ball all over the place.. yet his receivers make PLAYS! LAst week I saw guys practically picking the ball out of the dirt to make catches.. and when the didn't.. they looked PISSED.. thats FIRE in them veins!

Arrgh.. It's not just Ginn.. but we need more of that from all our players!

I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH OF TED GINN JR.!!!!

I agree, those catches have to be made, there's just no ifs &'s or buts about it, big time players make big time plays, and so far ginn just hasn't showed up and played to the caliber that's expected. I'm sorry if I just want too much.

That replay was very deceiving because IMO, he didn't "drop" the ball, he was just late getting his hands to the ball. You have to be lightning quick with your hands to the ball in this league. He was simply slow to get his hands up.

Ginn was watching the safety more than the ball you can see his head turned around as he goes up to catch that ball. Honestly I do believe Ginn is trying but he reminds me of one of my sons who was scared to catch the baseball. Regardless of how much we worked on it and my son did get better when the bullets started flying he still wanted to duck. It is a inherited fear and Ginn has it. IMO

best line from Rosey's column...'it's the NFL, there are no easy catches!'. every play's a needed play, every catch is a needed catch. Bow up shizhead!

If he doesn't catch the easy ones, I don't expect him to make the tough ones.

Hartline also has to make that catch. I think Hartline's miss hurt us more, cuz we would have had a first and not had that ridiculous Chris Webber moment from Henne. Both were fairly touhg but definitely catchable.
