I'm gonna miss Joe.

What's worse, I think I read that Greg Beddard is a candidate to replace him for blogging.

That would SUCK. Beddard is a negative nancy. So we'll have to read everything he writes with a grain of salt. And if he writes something positive, we'll know that player is doing really really well.

4 years to get to the SB. In this day and age that is an eternity. If Saban is going to win, that will become evident in 1-3 years. With free agency teams can turn around in a hurry (Panthers, Chargers).

Anyway, Schad was my favorite. His blog was unique and refreshing. Really cool that he got noticed the way he did by ESPN. He left us with a great final entry.

Greg Bedard has been doing solid work this past year. I think he'll step in nicely for Joe.
 
Crap there goes the last good reporter in Miami.
 
Stop drinking the hate-rade on Bedard....when he is doing the majority of the work and writing a few more pieces this season then he was last season, then make your opinion....you havent seen a lot of his work yet since there were two dolphins writers on task for hte PBP...

Umm, no thank you, I think it's perfectly legal for me to form my own opinion whenever I want.

It ain't to early to judge him. I've read his stuff, he's negative. I promise that most people on this board will come to view him in the same light as Dan Lebatard once they become more familiar with him.

To be honest...was there anything positive about last season to write about? I'm saying give him a chance because the organization he is dealing with now is not under Wanny rule....if there is positive news, he may react postively...how quickly we forget that there was almost nothing positive to talk about.

I've met the guy in person before...last season during training camp...it was his first few weeks on the job...real nice guy...a full season in the spotlight for him would only be fair before people already jump on top of him.

Joe Schad showed exactly how to balance it out.

While the team overall and especially the coaching staff was horrible, he pointed out individuals who never quit and poured their heart and soul into this franchise.

I've read alot by Bedard and all he does is criticize and tear down. Sarcastically too, which really drives me.

That's cool that you met him and he was nice, but that doesn't mean I like his writing style...and no, I'm not looking for someone to just sugar coat everything and write what we fans want to read.

But you gotta praise SOMETIMES, even if it's something minor, like a player's attitude.
 
Good luck Joe... glad that you got noticed by more than Dolphin fans for being a great writer.
