Joe Toledo A Guard Or A Tackle ?

Probably guard, he was impressive in camp last year as a guard.

If I was Houck, this guy would be driving me crazy; 6'5" 335 athletic, oozing potential and hurt ... all the time. Best position at this time: injured reserve.

Hard to say what he is besides injury prone, possibly a waste of a draft pick.

whatever he's going to be he was impressive from what I hear. Get the man healthy and on the field!

Ideally, it would be lovely if he could step up from being hurt and play LT, but most likely, if healthy he will compete @ LG. But of course with him being a former TE, he obviously can play the LT position. Would be a luxury if this kid can stay healthy . . . a diamond in the ruff.

Toledo has suffered from injuries in the past due to his weight - namely how much of it he put on without his body adjusting to it.

Toledo's mother is a nutritionist (lucky dog) and she's responsible for his weight gain. The difference between say Big Daddy and Toledo though, is that Toledo has *good* weight on his body. Unfortunately, his back and joints weren't accustomed to carrying so much weight. Backs are especially touchy to changes like that, as the back is a load bearing structure. Pile on too much weight, and combine that with athletic activity, and you're guaranteed to suffer from microtears, not to mention full on strains, pulls, and tears.

Where does that leave us this season? In good shape actually. Toledo has been at his playing weight for a year now, and his body is much more comfortable with the load. His ankles, knees, and the rest of him should be completely good to go now. I'd look for him to be a starter day 1.

If he is accustomed to his playing weight, with his measurable, athletics and talent . . . I could honestly see him pushing to START at LT. But I'm getting wayyy ahead of myself, I just wanna see this guy on the roster and not on IR.

believe what you like but glass Joe has been in the same situation as many players and is always injured .

Interesting theory... hope you're right. Definitely looking at the glass half full.
