So it looks as if a lot of the sacks are due to Duantes lack of mobility. He got sacked 5 tgimes against a horrible texans D and jJoey only got sacked once a gaisnt one of the best D Lines in the league.

what game did you watch? the OLine protected much better. Daunte may have been sacked once or twice more then Joey got sacked today, but with that time he sure as hell would of put up more points and better #s

ya this is a horrible thread. if you watched the game you saw there was much more time. joey also got sacked on that facemask call. also, instead of taking more sacks he threw two picks. you cant compare the two

Yeah but our pass protection was far better than in previous weeks.... no doubt joey fired away but our line is getting better.

that is ridiculous - you can't "assume" how much he would have gotten sacked. Daunte was getting sacked 6 times per game and there was no reason to suspect it would have been anything less than 4 this game. Joey, while not the best decision maker, was CLEARLY more mobile and had a quicker release.

We Probabbly Have The Worst Run Online In The League Ronnie Can Barley Average 3 Yards A Carry Thats Just Sad

Becuase he's really been lighting it up against Buffalo, and Tennessee, and Houston.....

The offensive line was better today, but it's obvious that Harrington getting rid of the ball had a lot to do with that. This is the first time all year I saw our QB's head start on one side of the field and make it to the other side. On plays where Harrington had to drop back and read the defense, he was 100% better than Culpepper. I'm not saying Harrington is great, or even good, but we had some semblance of offensive rythm for the first time this year.

actually, if you would of watched the games without wanting to not like a guy right of the bat, you would of seen Daunte has only took 1 or 2 sacks again for holding on to the ball for to long.

and if you would of watched the game without wanting to jump on a guys jock for a horrible game, you would see he had pretty good protection from a pretty good defense(as far as pressure on the QB).

I was all for Daunte before this game but next week I want Harrington to start he gets rid of it much quicker and the o-line did a great job today.

I could care less about how quickly the qb gets rid of the ball. Brady wasn't getting rid of the ball real quick today. He just made the plays afforded to him when the guy with the quick release was turning it over to the other team. I want the guy who is going to put the most points on the board with the fewest turnovers.

There wasn't much more time. The difference was Joey got rid of the ball faster. I KNEW that Joey would be sacked less. And I KNEW that the Culpepper protectors would proclaim that the line played better. Well if the line was so improved, why did Ronnie only average about 2 yards per carry?

He didnt have to.. his protection was great.

Joeys quick release is important with a line like ours. Daunte just looks so lost back there:confused:

again, you can't assume an anomaly.
and i don't "not like" someone right off the bat. if you read my posts you'd see i'm not a joey homer or a blind daunte follower.

i want whoever gives us the best chance to win to start... right now it is joey as he is more mobile. daunte is not healthy. when daunte is healthy, i prefer daunte to start.

i still FAIL to see how starting a guy who can't move and is already injured is going to help us win when he's taking 6 sacks a game. he is only getting more injured by doing that. allow him time to get healthy, why can't you daunte homers give him a chance?

Fine, you wanna play like that eh?

JOEY HARRINGTON = 2 int per game

DAUNTE CULPEPPER = .75 int per game
