Joey is 3-2 as the Dolphins starter. Easily could have been 4-1 had Mare hit the Game tying FG against the Jets and sent it to OT.

Whats the difference between a Harrington led team compared to a Culpepper led team?

Culpepper was 1-4 as the Phins starter.

Combined records of the teams that Culpepper played against have 19 wins and 29 losses while the combined records of the teams Joey has played against have 28 wins and 22 losses.

Harrington has a winning record against a combined win/loss records of teams above .500 while Culpepper was 1-4 against teams sub .500.

The guys seem to play better with Harrington at the helm? More confidence in him? We still need a runninggame bad but its suprising how much better we are in the Win/loss column under JH.

Any opinions?

The more I think about it, had Joey started from the beginning I think this team is playoff bound. He would be a better QB at this point with the 5 extra games under his belt and if you go along with his current record that would make the phins 6 and 4 looking pretty solid for a playoff spot.

I think Joey has the potential to be a long term starter here in Miami. If he continues to play good this year and builds his confidence, his play in the pocket should get better as well his decision making. I like him.

Nah man, the defense won this game, weren't you watching? :sidelol:

Daunte was only 1 and 3

Joey was 1 and 3 also after 4 games

Daunte's lack of success as we have seen had ALOT to do with injury. Joey ahs had more time to gel with the team. He had a bye week to get things situated with the team.

But most importantly . . . This Defense is just unreal the last 3 weeks, comebine that with better line play/running game (tho not today) and its a recipe for success. Maybe the team would rather play better for Joey than Daunte . . . iono, but its obvious since the "BYE Week" and not since "Joey has taken over" . . this team has been renewed.

though he played pretty good most of the game he also had two fumbles and an int

he's doing better than expected, but he's still a backup

Damn couldn't even wait a day or two to post this? Enjoy the win sheesh.
Joey had a wonderful 1st half, kept us in the game. Defense put it away. Let's leave it at that.

PS - still rather have a healthy Cpep in there.

I don't take Harrington's record as just being him, because the way this team was playing when the Fins lost that close game to the Jets I don't even think Peyton Manning could of one those first games, the team was horrible and now for some reason they've turned it around and the defense is playing lights out and I think the offense can do some things as well, but obviously the defense is carrying this team. As long as the fins are winning I'm happy and can you believe that if the Fins win on Thanksgiving they'll be 5-6 and will actually be in the playoff hunt (technically), wow this has been one crazy season and I just wish this team could have gotten rolling earlier.

It seemed he played lights out in the first half but we got abck into shooting ourselves in the foot syndrome. thank god for the defense. Overall very positive game for Joey. he really seemed to have found his timing with the receivers. hopefully he carries it into the detroit game for a little payback. everyone jumps on joey but the whole offense was to blame. Even the defense in that first qtr. How do you give up a 98 yd drive? evryone had their one mistake but unlike earlier in the season it wasnt fatal

People are going to say Miami won in spite of Harrington when, in fact, Harrington played his best game as a Dolphin to date. He had to carry the offense as we had -3 yards rushing today. He had a TD to Chambers called back because of a chop block. He completed (not sure exactly) about 70% of his passes. His INT was a terrible throw. Had we lost the game, everyone would have blamed Harrington because of the one pass. But, anyone who isn't closed-minded will know that, with no running game at all, Harrington played well.

Defense won this game, but it didn't have to be that way really. Peele cost us a BIG TD that would have gave us alot of momentum and a bigger lead.

The play calling was, once again, questionable.

The TEAM won the game, both sides of the ball struggled at times but they stuck together. I wish people would respond in here with a clear head, seems like everybody is looking to throw someone under the bus no matter what the thead is.

WOOO JOEY HARRINGTON WOOOO

I have no real input for this thread, i am sorry, but i am happy.

He had an excellent day considering the Vikings completely made us one dimensional by taking away the run.

These are the same people that bashed Fiedler day in and day out, even when the team finished 11-5 his first year..

Joey is proving to be a good NFL QB, he had a rotten deal in Detroit and has the arm strength and talent to be the Dolphins QB of the future. The OL has responded to him and he has made some amazing throws.

Exactly, I know people think I hate on Joey . . . but I just get sick of people trying to put this guy on a pedastool like he is doing this super human job. That is how it seems . . seriously. I'm all for a team effort, but truth be told, the only thing about this team that needs to be put on a pedastool is JT and this defense, everyone else is just doing their part.

For some mysterious reason we went away from our spread offense that worked so well in the first half.
