Joey > Daunte RIGHT NOW, until daunte is healthy which in my estimation is probably late season at the earliest. Joey played good, either that or our o-line just likes him better. But lets face it we lost the game the patriots didnt win it. Ronnie costs us 6 points maybe 10 because of his fumble and drop on 3rd and 5 when he was wide open. donnie jones boble hurt alot. we should have won this game and this loss makes me sick to my stomac.

Joeys better right now but IF daunte can regain his health he will be better. The shoulder isnt the issue. Trade for randy and have him heave some deep balls.

joey looked good in first half. but he threw two picks to a team that has 1 threw the first four games. he had every opportunity to win this game inthe second half and he couldnt get it done. thats why he has twice as many losses as wins in his career. dont let a couple nice throws that youve been waiting to see fool you. out of curiousity to all the stat guys who were bashing daunte - what was joeyspasser rating today? what excuses are going to be made for that?

Last 2 daunte drives were a field goal and TD to bring the dolphins within 2 of tying the Texans? The last 2 Harrington drives. Nada. I think Daunte is better right now.

i dont think the shoulder has as much to do with why cpep was benched as much as the fact that he couldnt pickup blitzesor make his reads as quick as joey dont be shocked when if this "injury" becomes a lingering problem

Am I missing something here.. Harrington has done no better than Daunte and yet he gets a pass here?

Dont get me wrong, I love both Daunte and Joey.. but come on, Harrington didnt do any better than Culpepper has this season

Joeys starting next week, i'd put money on it. I got laughed at when I posted the poll on Thursday or Friday about who will start but I guess I was right then.

Joey didnt loss this game for us so dont jump on him for it. I dont think Joey is a better qb than cpep so dont take this as a thread to bash cpep but he holds the ball to long and dosnt move around the pocket. This game would not have been close w/ cpep in. Hes just not healthy (mentally and physically).

Harrington makes better reads, cpeps ints are balls thrown into crowds of defenders atleast harrington through into a 1 on 1 coverage.

Excuse me... 2 INT isn't losing the game???

Please... if people are going to be critical of the QBs... you need to be consistent!

for me its really hard to say wether the oline performed better for joey today (i dont think so because we still cant run) or if joey is moving around the pocket better.

my gut thinks that ladder.

PLEASE show me where I'm not being consistant.

No, losing is a team effort. i never bashed cpep and/or blaimed him for a loss and i'm not doing it to joey. but joey gives us a better chance right now.

Excuse me? I don't think I get this. You're comparing the Patriots at home with possibly the worst team in the league, this year, last year and the year before that?

If DC had not sucked the whole game v. Houston, he would not have had to engineer two drives in what was essentially garbage time.
We were at least within striking distance of the Patriots with Joey

Where have you been?

"RIGHT NOW" ???

Joey was better than Daunte in 2005
Joey was better than Daunte in pre-season
Joey *is* better than Daunte right now, I'll agree ...
Joey WILL BE better than Daunte the rest of the season ...

... and from here on out. Daunte who??

I agree but daunte was better in 04 and could return to that form, stranger things have happened. I think Daunte 100% and Joey 100% Daunte is a better QB (maybe not by leaps and bounds but its hard to tell because Daunte had Carter and Moss and Joey had...) but Daunte may NEVER be 100% again.

Hell, both of these Quarterbacks should continue to get better each week. If they don't...:boohoo:

Anyhow, I didn't see the game -- I listened -- but it seemed like there was much better rhythm to the offense today. Obviously, a lot of that comes from not taking so many sacks. Harrington helped put this team into several third down and five-or-less-yard situations, instead of third and fifteen. And, as a result, it seems like we actually converted some of those situations into first downs this week. I'd be interested in seeing someone post our 3rd down ratio this week vs the last four.

Believe me, I'd rather have a healthy Culpepper in there, but until that time comes I'm happy with Harrington. I just wish we would have started the season with him, at least. I'm a little bit surprised that we went full steam ahead with DC like he was just a week away from a full recovery. Clearly he needs more time to recover mentally and physically. Hopefully he can begin to turn the corner soon.
