A former coworker of mine went to high school with Joey Harrington and said that he was known as "The Princess" in high school, and was not very well liked, and that the name reportedly followed him to college....

Just thought I would throw that info out there.
 
I doubt it. Sorry he seems like the preppy guy that was well liked.
 
That's just what my former co-worker said, he IS a Panthers fan and was trying to make fun of the Fins....but I wouldn't doubt it, Harrington is a decent QB but he is a bit soft, he IS the one who cried to his coaching staff...
 
Yeah sometime great athletes arent well like in highschool. It would be easy to be jealous of the guy.

Come On, when little I was known as "The Mermaid", just because my name is "Ariel", but now, I could smash all the mouths of the people who told me that with one simply punch...

What I mean, dont be non-sense, let the children be children and the NFL players be NFL players!!!

Your right, Im sure none of those guys got much attention from the student body. Your 19 and in college probably, to star football players create any envy where you go to school.

i understand getting attention, in college, but talent wise joey is not great

You need to try out for the dolphins, I like the attitude. I bet you could take out Juan Huron in a one on one drill. Seriously talking about a guys highschool nickname is pretty wierd even for FH.

Your right, he is only an NFL QB, how did he get to the NFL with out a hell of a lot of talent. I mean that was a pretty dumb statement. You can say he is less talented than DC, which he probably is in many ways. But I am guessing he has more talent than you or me. Or can you throw a 25 yard Lazer like he did to mcmicheal in the preseason. Im done Bashing DC, So dont go around Bashing our Backup every chance you get.

i am not bashing him every time i can get, he is a good backup, he does have more talent than me and you

but ryan leaf had a good arm but how was he?
 
Joey, was hit more then a step child when he played for Detroit by huge linebackers and defensive lineman. He would get up, shake it off and go on to the next play. Nobody can call this guy a wuss or Princess. Even the haters in Detroit conceded that.

When JH starts swearing at reporters in the lockeroom then we can compare him to leaf. Plus if he was that bad he would be out of the league. I think he has all the tools to be a good pro. But Im done calling for him to start. He will get his time and I wish him the best. untill then We are on the Dante train like it or not. And its gonna be a bumby ride.:goof:

he might have a shot at oakland when he is done here, oakland is going to need a qb pretty soon

Bad comparison with Ryan Leaf.

Joey has taken the criticism and dealt with adversity.

Leaf could not.

It is not only about physical talent but the maturity to handle scrutiny off the football field as well.

Harrington presses on. He is a good quarterback who I believe could step in if need be and lead ths team.
