Assuming two things:

1. He performs well
2. Daunte regains his old form

Now, this would hinge on us seeing if Daunt has anything left come later in the season.. But if Joey keeps winning, he might become our future starter and Daunte is the one that gets traded.. but if Daunte doesnt get to show the league he has improved, Im not sure if he would have any trade value..

But if Joey plays well, we might be able to trade him for something even higher than a 5th round pick we will have to give Detroit.

Yes and if Daunte doesnt get 100% healthy then what? We call Fiedler? I heard he is in line for a roster spot

i'd feel more comfortable trading culpepper, getting 3rd round pick if we're that lucky. keep harrington, lemon as backup and possibly put vick on roster as emergency qb

I dont think he's trade bait. Only way Harrington gets traded is if he really stinks it up bad out there or if Daunte comes in and plays lightsout later this season. Neither of which is very likely to happen. Daunte is a huge investment starting next year because his salary jumps so high he will be traded if he doesnt get it togethor. Joey on the other hand is a very small investment and has a huge upside for the salary he is making so they'd have to be hard pressed to trade him if he plays well.

apparenlty you didnt read it well. WE will KEEP him then n try to trade DC instead. HOpefully with Joey we can get a very good pick..2nd or 3rd maybe if we get lucky

his shoulder was torn up last year....

wouldnt mind having the good ole gus bus back in the garage though.

I was thinking the same thing. Joey plays a couple of good games, Daunte gets better and makes the plays we expect him to, I see a nice pick or 2 for him.

by pic I dont mean INT.
:)

I don't see it. I've never seen a group of fans over value their players like we do here. Harrington would have to play exceptionally well for us to get anything higher than a 5th or 6th for him. I don't see multiple picks. I'd rather have a reliable backup.

If Harrington stinks it up bad how does he become trade bait???? We gave up a sixth for him, if he really stinks it up then what would he be worth?? Maybe if there were 10 or 11 rounds in the draft we'd get something.

Daunte is the one who needs to go at this point

daunte will be the trade bait. mark my words.

I wouldn't trade used toilet water for Daunte or Joey. They both are a continuation of the sorry excuses for quarterbacks the Dolphins have had for the past few years. The Dolphins have to stop taking everyone else's dirty laundry, and draft then develop a top notch quarterback. If they keep stinking out the joint, Brady Quinn or Troy Smith could be possibilities.
