I just want to know what all of you think about him starting the season. How would you feel knowing that Harrington will go into the season starting if Culpepper couldn't???????????

Absolutely confident he will do very well. Steve Young sucked till he went to 49ers, Joey is in a much better system, being asked now to do what his talent is suited for, he is very accurate, has loads of talent, he will do great IMHO.

I would feel like, "Hey ......look at that.........Joey Harrington's starting."

The question has been asked many times on this board. He seems like a good starter giving his arm strength and the dolphins offense.

If Pep wasn't here we'd be pretty pumped about having Joey as our starter.
I'm confident Joey can turn his career around here and earn a starting nod here or elsewhere. His sucess vs. Pitts. in his last game as a Lion proves he can do it Week 1. What better proof do you need ?

I'll let you know after the preseason is over. He's just learning the system and has over two months to get it together.

I think that ckparrothead may have some news from a very reliable source coming up soon that will answer your questions.

Harrington is better than any QB we've had here after Dan not named Daunte. He'll be just fine if he had to start the first part of the season. Our schedule is pretty light early in the season, except for Pittsburgh, but who knows how that will be now.

I don't know about inside information, but I'm sure Joey is doing fine. He is learning a new system and getting use to his new teammates. So if you get reports that he's struggling keep that in mind.

I think Joey will be fine if he has to start for any length of time. He has the skills, much better support and a lot less pressure to worry about down here.

I wasn't at the time (see the VIP thread). There has been a change of plans now.

Suffice it to say that it is rumored today that Harrington is not looking all that good.

I totally agree, I was hoping we'd get Joey, and we ended up getting C-Pep and Joey
