Joey Porter expects to play and hopes to switch sides

anyone else feel hes just complaining about being old?

i'd say 10+ sacks this year but it looks like there will be ALOT other people chasing the QB on our defense.

I don't think so. I think he's dying to be our leader on this defense and I love his passion for the game. I hope he's healthy this season and can give us double digit sacks.

I love J. Porter and he is our defense leader in ever aspect however C. Crowded looks mature this year and I love the energy that our whole defense is showing so far!

Joey Porter is our most overpaid player (13 million USD this year - Sun-Sentinel)

Considering his lack of production, drama queen personality he needs to stop speaking and play whatever position he is told. If he cannot do it, assign him to wedge breaking on Kick-Offs.

Matt Roth's successful transition from defensive end to strong side linebacker in the Dolphins new 3-4 scheme frees Porter up to serve as Jason Taylor's replacement because Roth can hold his ground against the run on the left side.
Since Roth's move, which Sparano said was permanent on Monday, Porter has spent the majority of his practice and game-time on the right side when he's been healthy enough to participate.

Love this.

Last season Porter was forced to play out of position in a very injury depleted defense. If he is healthy and in his natural position on the right side I think he will be a lot more valuable than he was last year.

joey needs to learn that silence is golden and he should just keep his mouth shut and let the coach deal with the mecdia. unless he is specifically told to dish out information.

Good to see some have their facts in order.:hi5:

Joey Porter is going to put the fear back in our D when visitors to come to our house this year. I think he easily gets 8 1/2 to 9 sacks this year. This is the best shape I've seen him in a very long time. Joey has too much pride not to rebound nicely this year.

If he kept his mouth shut he wouldn't be Joey Porter :)

Let Joey run his mouth. He played decent last year. The guy was 2nd with sacks and tackles. I look forward to him leading this D with his mouth and his actions. Those young guys look up to Porter.....maybe he will raise their game a bit. This is going to be a great year.
