Joey Porter is not the same player he used to be. He no longer has the ability to get to the quarterback. It's not because he's getting double teamed. He's getting one on one blocking with the tackle or a tight end. The Dolphins should no longer depend on this guy to get pressure. Porter also provides very little assistance in the run game. The Dolphins need to give somebody else the opportunity to get to the quarterback or bring blitzes. Porter's downward decline is going to continue until he's cut or he retires.
 
I am watching and he's not often getting double teamed. He's just no longer any good. Cameron Wake gets one snap and he gets one sack. Do the math, Porter's done.
 
Porters just winded from flapping his gums all week long. He needs to save his energy for the games instead of running his mouth.

There aren't anymore. His age has caught up with him and he no longer has the speed to get around the edge. Maybe it's the injuries he's been having this season but he is no longer the player he used to be.
 
thank god you guys are finally seeing this...listen i know he had a great year last year ...however, i noticed this starting last year the guy has one move. Yes one move, he has no moves to get to the qb you take away his speed rush and he is useless....any more idiots wanna argue with me that his mouth effects the other team and its cool? He is nothing but a mouth
 
Porter is awful. He has 0 tackles today. He needs to be benched or cut immediately. He brings absolutely nothing to the table.
 
Porter is officially a weakness, now.

Ughhhh. Every 3-4 team's OLBs seem to be dominating but ours. Awesome.
 
If he ran his hips like he runs his lips he would be all world.
 
JT and Porter are backups at best right now. JT would be great if they had a good OLB starting in front of him, however Porter is making too much money for the level of play he's at right now.
 
I cannot understand the limited use of Wake one bit. I understand not having him in on on must rushing downs but it seems like every time the guy is on the field, he is near the QB or making something happen. Use him more!
