I apologize in advance to those of you who are unaccustomed to me being negative about our team, as I am, more often than not, a glass-half-full type of person. Having said that...Everyone without a Porter and a 55 on their jersey on our defense stunk today. He played out of his mind today. Joey almost single-handedly won us the game, while everyone else on D did virtually nothing. He sacked Schaub twice and had him under duress almost the entire game. I know that some will say, well, we got 2 interceptions. My response to that is, JP forced the INT that Akin Ayodele got. I will give Goodman credit for making an athletic play on the INT he got. Unfortunately, he was horrid the rest of the game.

It is absolutely imperative that we address the secondary via the draft and free agency. Very few of our defensive backs can cover, and those who can cover can't catch a cold. Renaldo Hill had an INT right in his hands inside the 10 that would have stopped the drive and won us the game but he dropped it . Will Allen had an INT right in his hands in the endzone that would have stopped the drive and won us the game but he dropped it. And don't get me started on how open all of their receivers and tight ends were all game. :shakeno: I'm sorry about my tangent, but I'm agonizing about how we wasted Joey Porter's, and the offense's great effort today.

Eh I'd say Crowder, Langford and Holliday played well today on defense too, but outside of the aforementioned 3 and Porter... Yeah, they pretty much blew.

Namely the secondary. Eghhhhhhhhhhh **** this one hurts.

I agree to an extent. Crowder did well against the run, but is a liability in coverage.

he only sacked Schaub once

Channing Crowder played great. He broke a pass in the endzone in the last few seconds in the 4th quarter. That's gotta be worth something.

Joey Porter was in the face of Schaub all game. His stats don't show how impressive he actually was today. Joey is having a Pro Bowl season with already 6.5 sacks this season.

Crowder made a touchdown saving tackle too, with some hustling he was able to catch up to the ball carrier(with a little help from the seconday). Also the D line had some good run stuffing plays. At times they were like a brick wall out there.
