I'll just ignore the useless hyperbole you began with. Anytime somone begins a post like you did there, it makes be believe they aren't going to be able to post rationally, and, are prone to wild, unfettered and assinine leaps of assumption. I'll try to adress your points, but, I already know the reply will probably of similar quality to your opening sentance.
1. Yes. I did not watch all the games, but, I did watch most of them.
2. Yes and no. I admit to not knowing our long snappers name until the Jets game. I admit to being mystified when I saw Joey Haynos catch his TD, since the number didn't ring a bell with a name.
(I know you were just engageing in your usual asshattery when somone has a view opposed to yours, but, I thought it was a fair enough, though typically usless question.)
3. Actually, I'm reasonably pleased with Ginn. I've stated that repeatedly. I've done a shift from the beginning of the season..Well, since he was drafted actually. He's starting to develop, but, he's still got some glareing holes in his game. Everyone tells me that because some WRs develop into elite WRs in thier third year, Ginn will too. I hope so. I will be waiting and watching. What I DO find amuseing is that Ginn *Lovers* for lack of a better term (Meaning those who have absolute blind, unwavering faith that he is the next comeing of Paul Warfield) are already generateing excuses for next season. At some point he's going to have to put up #1 WR numbers if he's going to be considered an #1 WR, isn't he?
Obviously you don't pay attention to my posts, because if you did you would know that I've never said Ginn was a bust, and though I was critical right off the bat, and, afterwards, I've given credit where credit was due. Seeing as how you don't feel it's important to check facts on what you say *Shrug* All I can do is state it again, here. I should just have my Ginn feelings on my CPU clipboard so I can just copy/paste it for thse who simply refuse to read and process posts before commenting on them.
4. I don't like Joey Porter. I think he's a loudmouthed punk-*** thug. He's a dogfighter (My assumption, but, as they say where there is smoke there is fire) and doesn't even have the courage to finish a fight that he started man to man without getting his boys to help. I state all this in the interest of full disclosure.
He played very well early in the season. He came off the edge, and, was going around and, more importantly THROUGH people blocking him. As the year progressed, he wore down and his performance went through the floor. If YOU feel that JP's performance was satisfactory in the second half, then, that's on you. I don't. Truth be told, his performance reminded me alot of ZT and, JT in thier salad days. Lots of splashy stats, and, then, when we need them most....*POOF*
My irritation meter pegged with his little postcard remark, and, I made it known that maybe instead of gloating about his year, maybe he ought to just shut his mouth and get to work on next year.
We went 11-5. I could not be more pleased with that performance, but as you said, there are lots of holes to be filled. I'm not even sure why you brough tthe team's record into the argument, because by useing the wildly random logic you applied, the best I can tell is that you connected your opinon regarding the level of play of JP to the teams record. In that case, then, heck...We're right as rain and, there is no need to even draft players this year. (Little hyperbole of my own there)
Basically, I'm just not willing to hit my knees in front of Joey like lots of people here. The best was one thread complaining about how the RAvens were thugs.... At first I was like :err: then I
I'm like...You've GOT to be kidding me....Joey Porter defenders calling other people thugs. That's rich.
Way to have you boy's back though. That's strong, brah!
